My coworker went skiing near Tahoe last year.  He said it was the best ski area he’s been to.

I've been to most major ski areas west of the Rockies and Tahoe is one of my favorites. There's a number of great resorts within a 30 minute drive and Heavenly basically overlooks the casinos. Squaw valley is absolutely world class too.

Another favorite is Salt Lake. Basically like Tahoe, minus the nightlife, with a number of world class resorts like Park City, Deer Valley, Powder Mountain, and Snowbird, all within reach.

Banff is amazing as well. Lake Louise is another of my favorites and Sunshine Village ain't too shabby.

Other mentionables for me are Mount Bachelor in Bend Oregon and Sun Valley Idaho.

Too be honest though we are so lucky to have Whistler and Blackcomb in our backyard. Minus the crowds and price they really are second to none when it comes to size and terrain. I've never been to the Colorado Rockies mind you but I hear they are the closest rival.

Have you been to Wyoming?  Jackson's Hole is number one on my bucket list for North American ski resorts.  I want to be able to say I did Corbet's Couloir and maybe S&S Couloir depending how I'm feeling that day.

For out west I'd love to visit Revelstoke.  Everyone that has been said it's amazing.

The best skiing I've done it Mont Tremblant, and Whiteface.  Both mountains are icy and very crowded (sums up east coast skiing).

Never been there but it always ranks highly in skiing magazines. Maybe one day. Big Sky Montana is another one I missed out on.

I know a few guys who go to Revelstoke every year but as far as skiable terrain it's on the small side.

Yeah I hear the skiing back East is dismal compared to the west. You just need a little more seismic activity. Nothing a few million years can't fix.

I still got a 5 day pass at whistler this year. I hope they don’t have the roundhouse open for the public though. Not sure how things will go on the lifts but definitely feeling that itch to get up to that fresh pow. Skiers and shredders already know to social distance because it’s rude to cut other people on the hill off and to STEAL THEIR LINE OF PRECIOUS POW! Stay safe fellow snow goers!
