RIP Mr. Schultz...RIP

TORONTO — The football world has lost one of its most dedicated players and kindest souls. Chris Schultz, a former Toronto Argonaut and Dallas Cowboy, as well as a part of TSN’s coverage of the CFL, died of a heart attack on March 4. He was 61.

Schultz played left tackle for the Cowboys from 1983 to 1986 and spent nine seasons with the Argos, winning a Grey Cup with the team in 1991. He was a two-time CFL All-Star, was named to the Argos’ all-time team in 2007 and was inducted to the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.

The Burlington, Ont. native hosted “Risky Business” on TSN, making weekly NFL picks and was a mainstay in TSN’s CFL and NFL coverage for years.

Schultz happily tied his name to the Purolator Tackle Hunger program, putting a face to the nation-wide food drive that supports food backs across the country.
