We feel Alex will be the goalie that we were looking for, and we hope to get him signed to a deal to be with us for the forseeable future. He is a good young up and coming goalie and still classified as a rookie. Though his numbers are not that of what he was posting last season, we feel he has plenty of room to grow and his numbers arent even that bad this season. The team is really rolling right now - Ovechkin, Hedman, Vasilevskiy, etc are all in top form, and Kadri is having a career year. So I'm pushing all my chips in, and going all-in on this year (and hopefully next as well). It sucks to lose Sergachev, but the team is still set with Tampa rep, and Colorado's goalie should bring a lot of playoff points. Hayes was a player I really like, and I expect him to bounce back next year, but being able to add 2 core players on contending teams with his cap space was ideal.
