Nuxfanabroad
Hard to guesstimate values, feel free to tweak to flavour Van: JT Millsy, Poolman, 2023 2nd r pick Nash: Ryan Johanssen, Dante Fabbro, 2023 1st r pick(top-5 protection; switch to 2024 if necc) Don't really like RJ's contract, but assuming we'd deal Boeser too(separately). Instead of committing LT to Miller, we end this vet C deal after 3 more yrs. Fabbro could potentially pair well with QH. 2 local guys...
mll
Doesn't make much sense for Nashville. Nashville is in a re-tool to get younger with Poile acknowledging that it's going to take time to get where they want to go but says he's comfortable with that. OTOH, the RyJo/Seth Jones deal didn't really bear fruit. Duchene has finally woken up. If he can hack 3 mill off the Ry/Miller equation, perhaps he can keep Forsberg in the fold? Miller appears a cowboy hat/boots type of fella'.. might be right for the region. The whole deal could boost their offense. Meant to say in first post, would first try to send Miller east for top picks & youth(eg: The Schneider pkg). But if the buyers weren't putting up decent assets, would see this type of deal as the next avenue to explore.

Johansen has been reliable for them this season and they still seem to see him as an important part of their team. He's had a bit of a mentoring role this season playing with Kunin, Tolvanen a fair bit. Don't think they make very good trading partners given Poile's concerns about the team ageing. He has already refused to give more than 4 years to Granlund and Ekholm and even let Granlund walk before apparently upping his offer to 4 years. Miller will be 30 when he starts a new deal.
Nuxfanabroad
Was nice to see his interview with IMac..good to know when stars are happy on the team. Ftr, if JTM will accept about 8 mill/ 6 yr term, we may's well go for it. If he's looking in excess of such numbers, then would look for a trade somewheres. DownUndaCanuck
If they're losing Forsberg then they'll need some scoring help anyway, Miller makes sense. To NSH - Miller + Poolman To VAN - Fabbro (or Carrier) + 1st + Trenin/Kunin/Scissons They have loads of cap space, more if Forsberg walks. We could throw them Dickinson if they want too and it would literally fix all our problems. We move about 10M of cap out, take a tiny bit back, get a top right handed defenceman, get a 3rd line center who can score and a late-ish 1st. Nashville do it because they've got plenty of bottom 6 centers, lacking top 2 centers, Miller gives them 100 points next year, Poolman just replaces a bit of depth and a change of scenery may bring his career back. If they want Dicky they can have him too. Garland - Pettersson - Podkolzin Boeser - Horvat - Pearson Chiasson - Kunin - Hoglander Highmore - Lammikko - Lockwood Hughes - Fabbro OEL - Myers Dermott - Schenn Rathbone We get 2 1sts and probably have some cap room there if we want to sign another forward...

Although I like this, I’d rather keep Miller and move out Horvat. Miller wants to be in our city. Have no indication Bo does.
