EXTENSION: The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenseman Nick Jensen to a three year contract extension.

small.png Nick Jensen: Three year deal worth $ 12.15m dollars ($4.05m AAV)

The Kings are thrilled to have come to terms with Nick Jensen,. He came over at the deadline alongside Alex Alexeyev (RFA) and Sammy Blais (UFA) and we thought he fit in beautifully on our blue-line. We look forward to seeing him in training camp and seeing how the blueline sorts itself out, but we feel we have true competition for our top-6 and we fully expect Nick to be a big part of that crew.

Projected Kings Roster (in spoiler):

Spoiler

Anders Lee - Sean Couturier - Alex Barabanov

Taylor Hall - Nicklas Backstrom - Noah Cates

Eetu Luostarinen - Pius Suter - Matt Coronato

Alexei Toropchenko - Jack Drury - Noah Gregor

Jujhar Khaira

Kaiden Guhle - Justin Schultz

JJ Moser - Nick Jensen

Alex Alexeyev - Erik Gudbranson

Gavin Bayreuther

Akira Schmid

Mackenzie Blackwood

LTIR: Jakub Voracek, Tanner Pearson, Travis Dermott, Chris Driedger

@arby18_ you're the only GM I know who can post 4 significant NHL regulars on the IR for your opening night roster projection (in May) and we can still call you optimistic.

I want to see one season of your team being relatively healthy, and I think you'd be a Cup contending GM.

As I stated at the time, Logan would have to work hard to earn the trust of his teammates and management.

So far he has done the right things, he has owned his mistake and tried to learn from it.

As I stated at the time I screwed up big time in my teens and I was lucky enough that my parents and other good people stuck by me to help me get my life back on track.

We hope that Logan continues to improve on a personal/ human level.

Maple Leafs would like to congratulate @lethunder on his 1st round victory over our squad this year. We knew it would be a tough matchup against the defending champs, and they schooled us from the start. Adam Fox had a big game 1 and the Sabers had us in the dust from that point forward. We wish the Buffalo Sabers luck going forward on their quest for a repeat.

Nonetheless we feel our group gained much needed experience heading into next year. Which we have maintained as being the year we would push for the cup since we started the rebuild. We feel the main core of the team is very strong, and we just need a few solid complimentary pieces to help put us over the top.

It's been yet another fun season in GML, and even though we fell short in just the 1st round of the playoffs, we are proud to finally bring Leaf fans some GML playoff hockey. We promise there will be deeper runs in the near future!

Good luck to all remaining GMs on their quest for the 2023 GML cup!

Ha ha yeah....

I figure that if I keep the infirmary full from the start then maybe there won't be room for it to fill itself up...
