New Jersey continued their busy off season by first trading for and now extending top four defenseman J.J. Moser to a four year extension that kicks in for the 2024/25 season.

The team having just earned the organizorgan's third championship has shifted its focus to retool the club and bring in more youth to the lineup. J.J. is one such key young player at just 23 years old and already in a position to play top four minutes and run the power play from the left side.

No doubt there will be pressure on J.J. as well as some of our other young players on the team after several key veterans were moved out to start the off season. We have every bit of confidence J.J. can play through and thrive under the pressure here in New Jersey.

That is a picture of my very first GML trade where I acquired Sidney Crosby. We then flipped Crosby a little bit later and that was the kickstart of our rebuild. Lets take a look at how that trade affected us today.

After working out a trade tree this is the results we came up with. We have acquired a lot of solid pieces for our future. We definitely gave up the most pieces, but feel happy with the quality we have got back over the 3 years stemming from that one deal.

I know Jagr told teams he wasn't coming over to a few teams because he wanted to make sure he got drafted by Pittsburgh. I think that turned out pretty well.

Yea but was he telling veterans trying to give him advice to "f*** off"? lol

Guarantee he will get into it so bad with teammates he'll just go back the the KHL lol

He wants to play in a market where hockey is king. I can respect him wanting to join a franchise with a ravid fanbase. Some of that could be true but I'm sure some of it is inaccurate.

If the rights holder to michkov wants to move him over this tho... I would overpay to acquire him lol.

We are still shopping around the following players

Ilya Lyubushkin - Will Buffalo make the show this year?

Troy Stecher - TDL target down the road?

Petr Kvaca - Ranked 22nd in Dobber Hockey's top 50 fantasy goalie prospects, rights owned by Avs

Carter Gylander - Most saves in program history this past season

Other players have been in discussions. Looking for picks/prospects or upgrades on defense.
