[Signing] Sabres re-sign Zemgus Girgensons

So, 2.5 million gets you 18 points in 80 games. Compare that to 4.95 getting 46 points in 81 games with Garland. I think once the dust settles around free agency, Garland will be a very moveable contract. Possibly even at the draft as a lot of teams will already have been able to talk to Free Agents and gotten an idea of how much they are going to cost on their cap.

2.5 million gets you a hyper-defensive forward who pretty much just floats offensively but then checks like a hungry wolf off the puck.  You know better than to just look at everything in terms of pure point production.

Could contain: Text, Adult, Male, Man, Person, Face, Head, Document

Ah yes, the CDC bias, where every scorer on our team is a two-way player while every scorer on the other team is a lazy stat-padder.

Everyone on our team: "Look at all these TWO-WAY guys like Hughes, Horvat and Miller, they produce so many points!!" (None of them are that good defensively)

Other teams: "Look at these no-defence players like Draisaitl/Rielly who are just milking points - nothing like our two-way players!"
