I love the trade for out team; not so much for the Rags.

 

Beau is a speedy, but soft top 6 winger that can score a lot of goals with Pete.

McDonaugh might be a bottom 6 winger one day.  He's 2yrs older than Laffy.

 

Laffy hasn't shown his offensive potential so far, but he still has lots of time to develop.

If I were a Ranger fan, I would be far more worried about Kakko.

The draft record for top10 picks ain’t so good for the Hughes guy, who is now in Montreal. 5-6 bustaroos.

I thought of a similar trade. Only I was thinking BB for Lafreniere. They might take bauvillier with BB for Lafreniere. He Is a number pick and still very young. NY is in a Win now mode. since he was drafted as a Centre. Put him in Abby for a year. Let him get his confidence back. Put Lafreniere as 3C the next year If he gets his mojo back. Put him 2C. Move Miller to the wing.
