Trade Deadline
Fedor needs to sign with ufc now to fight brock! Even if he signed with the UFC, his first match wouldn't be against Brock for the title. That's just stupid.

Hell yeah his first fight would be against brock. They have to fight in their prime before they get too old. No one wants to see any match, but fedor and brock. Fedor says he would like to fight brock. Dana White said during the UFC 100 post show press conference he wants to see fedor fight brock. Anything but having fedor fighting brock in his first match would be stupid and dana white knows it. Edited July 25, 2009 by Luongo = Cup

New rules, new arena, ect... Get real. If Brock got a title shot in his 2nd fight, it's not entirely out of the question for the #1 ranked heavyweight in the world to walk in and get a title shot right away. I wouldn't want to see it personally, since I'd rather see Fedor get some real time experience in the octagon.. but it could happen. Easily. Imagine Fedor comes in and fights some stepping stone and subsequently gets KO'd... his stock will drop immediately, and the hype for Brock Vs Fedor will disappear. The ufc will lose huge amounts of money.

The hype for fedor brock would be huge. Some sportsbooks are already putting out odds of a fedor/brock fight with fedor being a -240 fav and brock +190 dog, but the fight has to happen by Oct 2010 for the bets to be valid. Harbinger
Fedor is not suddenly unsigned. He's still owned by M-1, He isn't a free agent because of Affliction having problems or even going under. He just isn't fighting in that promotion which was partnered with M-1 which happens to also be owned by Fedors manager. There is no real revelation other than he won't be fighting in the states. The M-1 promotion has not qualms lending it's fighters to other Organizations. They have done it for years and will likely keep doing it. Fedor will likely not sign with the UFC till the ufc says he will still be allowed to fight in other organizations and in the Sambo Championships. That has been his stance from the beginning. shoots&scores
Too bad. That Barnett fight would have been GREAT. I don't care about organizations, I care about fights!! And Brock v. Fedor is a fight for all time. Even though Brock doesn't have the pedigree of a guy like Fedor, dude's a BEAST, plain and simple.
King of Anarchy
The UFC is on the verge of some major announcements. During a guest spot today on the ESPN 1100 Radiothon, a 24-hour fundraiser for The Caring Place cancer charity, UFC president Dana White said the organization will soon hold a major press conference, tentatively planned for July 31. He referenced the media event when asked about reports of Affliction halting operations and becoming a UFC sponsor, the possibility of the UFC acquiring Affliction contracts, whether or not Fedor Emelianenko could be signed to the UFC, and whether a rumored deal with ESPN could come to fruition. As I previously stated, it's been a crazy day for MMA fans. Edited July 25, 2009 by King of Anarchy
UFCanuck
Great, Fedor still had 1 fight on his contract, Affliction retains his rights. Btw, If Fedor ends up with the Ufc I want to see: Couture vs Fedor Vasquez vs Fedor then Brock vs Fedor Make that son b*tch earn it. Innovative
There goes the Affliction card and probably organization. I was planning to go to the card in Anaheim to but oh well. Fedor will sign with UFC soon enough. I'm looking forward to seeing him pound Brock. Also has it been confirmed that Tito is back with UFC? Money talks, he said he'd never come back, what a douche.
