Kevin Bieksa you are really...

The only thing that stinks around here, besides Bergeron's bacteria laden glove, is the way Bxa plays defense. This has been even more apparent since he no longer has Hamhuis as a partner. Even, prior to this year, when Bxa was unquestionably the worst bang for a buck on the Nuck's D, some of you Bxa apologists thought differently.

I admit he has had his best year evah this year, he's a regular once every 5 yr. wonder. Why? Is it because he had a brain transplant?

IMO, His much improved results this year can be attributed to 2 things.

1) its a contract year

2) he's partnered with Hamhuis, who is as under rated as much as Bxa is over rated, especially by the media.

The media like him because he is the only quote machine on the Nuck's , Fan's like him because he averages 2 or 3 fights a year and AV likes him because he shoots right.

IMO

Your opinion means absolutely nothing to me.

It's too bad really. There have been posts of yours in other threads that led me to believe that you weren't the complete troll that you appeared to be in this thread.

However, your steadfast refusal to admit how wrong you have been for 400 pages, and your continued weak attempts to put down a player that has obviously played extremely well both in the regular season and playoffs, exposes you for the troll that you are.

You can continue pretending that you have a point to make and that your posts are humourous, but rest assured, not a single reasonable thinking CDC member is taking anything you say seriously.

You have become the epitome of the CDC "class clown", but no-one (besides you) is laughing.

The class clown is someone who the class laugsh with.

I say Canucklelion's become more of the attention whore that gets picked last in a game of Cops and Robbers, and proceeds to run around the field while his classmates are actually playing the game.

It's been a while since my last post and, I must say, it is comforting to see that some things never change.

Canucklelion, you are a classic troll, dude. I have to say that I admire your persistence, though. Kevin Bieksa has been the Canuck's best defender all season long and in the playoffs... bar none! IMO, he is in consideration to win the Conn Smythe if the boys go on to claim the grail.

I don't want to see this thread end, but, I think maybe it's time to pack it in, no, Canucklelion?

Maybe go over to the Flame's board and talk some smack about Iggy being old and washed up, or something?

Canucklelion, please answer me this. What are you going to say when in the offseason the Canucks sign Kevin Bieksa to a contract with a cap hit worth no less than 4 million?

Like I've posted before, the last guy who gave Bxa a 4 yr 15 mil. contract after one decent year was Nonis and look where Nonis is now.

Bxa should go to the highest bidder, which won't be MG, thus leaving cap space to to be better spent elsewhere in the lineup.

Highest bidder?

I thought you said he'd be in the ECHL or Europe (with Welly) next year. Or have you backed off that stupid prediction?

hahaha this thread in the past two days, compared to this thread in the San Jose series... Bieksa is good, but he needs a good partner to succeed. Does that mean he sucks? no.

So again in game 4 Bxa showed why he is not worth bringing back to the Nuck's next year. He can't play defense, and what is the PP like with his weak inaccurate shot on the point, 1 for 23. The guy is brutal.

There's 9 other guys playing on the PP. You do know that, right?

Agreed, Bieksa can only look like an All Star if he plays with an All Star stay at home defender, such as Mitchell or Hamhuis. He can't anchor a D pairing, which is why I wouldn't resign him for big bucks.

It's easy to point to the last two games and say that "key" cogs on this team had tough games. I'm a huge Bieksa supporter but this team was built on TEAM Defence. I think Kevin was trying to do more in games 3 & 4 to compensate for the pressure that D core was under. Kevin is very well respected for his candor, accountability and using his humour to put perspective on a bad game. Of course, Dan is an amazing D-Man and they work really well together.

However, if Kevin was out with an injury, I don't think Dan would have faired any better in the same circumstances in games 3 & 4. Take your hate or like bias out of it, and we all know that the only way we can win two more games is if the forwards support the D-men and Roberto makes timely saves (which has done all playoffs long). Kevin is playing really well - but, he like his partners Christian and Alex are all playing hurt. They are still smart enough to use their considerable skills and grit (edge) to counteract the Bruins hard hits (often dirty play). The key is to play a 60 min (or more) game. Kevin is not overrated - he's a smart player - but he has to keep his composure and lead the Defence corps by example. Hank, Ryan, Manny and Roberto have to do the same. I really believe they will. There is no pointing fingers in the dressing room - these guys are bros, they stand together. They will have a rebound game.
