The Architect
Ive been waiting to say this since July 1st of 2010. I cannot wait to see Keith Ballard on the ice. Also: If Kassian is not on the third line with Pahlsson and Hansen, then AV needs to go find himself a new job. The kid has NO role on this team. He isnt a fighting goon. He has HANDS. He isnt a plug. He may as well be in the AHL right now playing with Schroeds. He can hit and be exponentially more effective in a bigger role- we saw that when he was put with kesler and booth. By putting him on the third line, he will hone his defensive awareness-skills, as well as receive much more playing time. A growth hormone for next season where he will have a larger role. Mason Raymond is done in Vancouver. If he is in the lineup next game, its over. The thing that makes this team so much shi*ttier than last year's, is that very few people have designated roles. Last year the Sedins were on. Burrows was on. 1st line set. Kesler was beasting 24/7-365, so he eclipsed any problems on the second line. Torres-Malhotra-Hansen was biblical. 4th line, although revolving door of wingers, was still effective. This year, we have 2 centers on the fourth, both of whom should be on the third, but Pahlsson needs to be on the third, Kassian's potential and skill is going to waste on the fourth line, and Raymond sticks out like a sore thumb. This is the lineup I truly believe we need to ice for Game 1 of the Playoffs: Daniel Sedin-Henrik Sedin-Alex Burrows David Booth-Ryan Kesler- Chris Higgins Zack Kassian-Sammy Pahlsson-Jannik Hansen Byron Bitz-Maxim Lapierre-Dale Weise Malhotra will be around the team. Raymond to the press box. Dan Hamhuis-Kevin Bieksa Alex Edler-Sami Salo Keith Ballard-Chris Tanev And goaltending: Cory Schneider as starter. Luongo as backup. The Canucks will not win a cup with luongo in net. Since last year's game 7 SCF loss, I think ive been in shock. I havent bashed on lu at all this season. I think the numbness of the SCF loss has finally almost worn off. He cannot clutch at all. Dont give me the BS "SHARP SAVE IN GAME 7" etc etc. Game 3,4,6,7 of STANLEY CUP FINALS. Olympic Gold? Blowing the lead to Slovakia, and almost losing there. Allowing the US to crawl back. Hawks part 1 Hawks part 2 Anaheim Ducks "referee luongo" Please for crying out loud, look at his REGULAR SEASON STATS. Guys, Luongo is done in this city. He is finished. There is nothing left. Yes, he is a step above any of the goaltenders we had prior to him, but he isnt a cup winning goalie. Its time you opened your eyes. I cannot believe that people's memories are so short. Just think back to all the softies of the Nashville series. All the demoralizing goals. Everything.

DeNiro
I see people have switched from bashing the Sedins, back over to bashing Luongo and Raymond again. And everything is right again on CDC.

Get real canuck fans
For Luongo bashers, Go NHL.com and look up Ilya Bryzgalov's stats. Flyers has a similar record as the Nucks. Bryz faces less shots, yet he has a lower SV% and higher GAA than Luongo. We all know how terrible he is at the start of the season, then look at him now. Goalies go through tough stretches. Bryzgalov should be glad that he's not in Vancouver. He's paid more than Luongo and is much worse stat wise.
DIBdaQUIB
The Red Wings are 3-6-1 in their last 10, I guess they're out in the first round too right? Bruins are 3-6-0 in their last 9, same thing I guess right? I don't think some people realize that peaking too soon before the playoffs is not always a good thing. It's all about peaking at the right time and getting hot in the last 5 games or so.
The Architect
The second line cannot be split up. Put Kassian on the first, Burrows on third until we are 100 percent sure that they wont revert to their current horrendous play if Burrows goes back to top line. Malhotra and Raymond out to the press box for good. Ballard needs to get back in. Stop f*cking wit hthe D-pairings, and play Schneider for the next 5 or 6 games and see how hot he is. Start him in playoffs. Luongo is a pathetic goaltender.
MoneypuckOverlord
yeah I dunno why people are complaining about luongo. it's troubling to see all the bandwagoners jumping on him despite his awe-inspiring .918 sv% this season ranked a impressive 18th in this league on a top tier team. not to mention the incredible discount we acquired him for on a 5.3 mil cap hit with a contract that lasts a million years. Realistically we should be directing the blame towards the sedins for not being ppg players this season. what awful slackers they are. and where was our offense tonight? we only had 43 shots on goal. disappointing. rkoshack
Gotta start Schneider next game and I think it'll be good for Lu if they start Schneids for a few in a row. Look what happened earlier in the season when Luongo came back from injury and Schneids was playing 7 games in a row or whatever. Lui came back in and dominated for months and earned his job back playing as one of the best in the league over that span. They should do the same right now, come back with Lui with a few games left and have him carry this team deep into the playoffs just like he did last year. LappyLover40
Dissapointing loss because we outplayed phoenix IMO. Offense looked great but defense was..... Glad the Sedins got on the score sheet and I thought that the AMEX line looked awesome. I am a Lu supporter, and I know the D was bad tonight, but he's our #1 guy...the guy who's supposed to bail the boys out when they mess up... I just feel like Schneids always sticks to his game and more often than not, manages to make that save and bail them out. Schneids doesn't get rattled when the team or the defense isn't on their A game.... Luongo just seems to crumble. It's SUPER frustrating to watch. Again, i'm not hating. And I know Lu has been playing great up until recently, but it's something I have noticed.

micgao
We didn't play well tonight, D needs to be better, Luongo needed to make 1 more save and Raymond... I don't know anymore. On the bright side, we still have tons of time to get back in shape before the playoffs starts and better experience with what works/doesn't work now then in the playoffs and slump now rather than later. Let's not get too down, all teams go through tough stretches. And people saying 1st round exit? I don't really know what to say about that... but then again, I didn't really know what to say when people said we wouldnt make the playoffs at the beginning of the season. Cigano
Luongo has be crap since the buffalo game no doubt. The stats show it. But we all know how good he has been prior for the past few months. I know confidently he will get over his struggles. But all I got to say, if Lu gets traded somehow, only will be a matter of time before Schnieder goes through a funk or struggles and he is going to get bashed to death the same way Lu does. But fans think he won't ever struggle...Only a matter of time.
