Wow my proposal is fading into obscurity, either it is so amazing that everyone agrees with it or it sucks so bad that no one wants to even bother to comment.

If Luongo is traded, MG will trade him for a younger player / picks

My thought is if MG trades him he will do it to get bigger/grittier players.

i dont mind the trades, outside of picking up malone. but i dont see vokoun signing for 1.5 again. mind you, i didnt think he would sign for that little in the 1st place last year.

it is pretty good, not quite the bolded level though :P

Couple thoughts: if Brewer's coming in for the trade I'm not sure I'd want to sign Jackman on top of that and have Eric in the 3rd pairing when he played big minutes in TB, plus giving up the first and Lu for a 2nd (flipped in the 2nd trade) and two aging players doesn't sit very well, and UFA's typically get overpaid, making their acquisitions (unless at hometown discounts) not very affordable or preferred by MG (plus Jackman/ Brewer cost more than Ballard and Salo for the same positions).

I also don't mind the 2nd trade, as Harrison for Alberts is a definite upgrade and Dwyer's more energetic than Manny, but Pat D isn't very big and I'd rather sign Joey Crabb instead.

Overall decent proposals though.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Jesus LOVES YOU!
2012, meet Matthew 24:36-47!

14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Don't worry pal that happened to me too,

Overall it isn't bad, I'm not sure that we would have to give up a 2nd aswell in that deal with Carolina.

And I'm sure Vokoun would want more this time around if he isn't back with the Caps.

And then the Tampa deal looks good but I don't think Malone is the kind of player we need, we need a playmaking type of player, a pass first guy, that can setup plays and get people open and set them up, with the size and speed of Booth and Kesler getting that type of player would be a great solution.

Overall pretty good.

[p.s here's my thread, if u wanna take a look there ;) http://forum.canucks...n-tor-signings/]

I wouldn't deal the 1st rounder in the 1st deal.

I don't think Jackman will hit UFA.

I am not sure that this team has enough depth scoring.

I do commend you on being creative and realistic though. Very solid proposal that many people might love. I like the defense a lot but I don't think you have a very good group of forwards to be honest.
