Wondering if most people are of the thinking that this was finally the Year for Any Western Team to win over the East?

Had Vancouver,Detroit,Nashville,Chicago, St Louis, or San Jose faced the Devils in the Finals, Do You believe they would have won the Stanley Cup?

with the way they're playing now, pretty much any well rested team in the west would have beaten them. then again, pretty much any well rested team in the east would have beaten them too. the rangers series was too intense. to come out and beat a team that's only lost a couple games in the playoffs is almost impossible.

Everyone except San Jose. They'll never make the finals nevermind winning a cup.

I don't think it's a for sure thing.

I agree the Canucks could have done it. As could have Nashville or Chicago.

But I think Detroit and St.Louis would have hand their hands full.

Phoenix never made your list, but it would have been a challenge for them too.

I think San Jose would have lost.

With the way NJ is playing now, I think any western team that was in the playoffs this year could beat them.

Hey, I guess we could be thankful the West isn't like the NBA West with every final for the last fourteen years either having the Lakers, Mavericks or Spurs. Unless you're a fan of one of those teams.
