Hearing ANA's Bobby Ryan is "available" again after being taken off trade market after Randy Carlyle's Duck departure.

That doesn't mean Bobby Ryan is sure to be moved. It does means ANA's phone will be/has been ringing and they will be keenly listening.

If ANA moves Ryan I suspect it would be for two or three building block pieces that would increase organizational depth but not payroll.

as per Bob McKenzie

Probably wanted to wait to see if Selanne was going to be back or not first. Since he isn't retiring they could get a great d man out of Ryan. Similar to SJ / Minn trade

Snake Doctor, on 23 May 2014 - 10:41 AM, said:snapback.png

Miller is not on our list. It's Lack as our #1. There is no reason we would have traded both Schnieder and Luongo if we never intended to give Lack the #1 starting job.  Furthermore, the salary and term Miller is looking for is not in our favor.

Schneider would have to go the other way at least. Even then still won't make sense...they have Hiller.

The key difference is that Sopel can fill in for Seabrook and Campbell just fine. Bieksa, he is garbage so in that sense he is like the worst defenseman in the league.

When Cody (Hodgson) gets older, he might be better than Datsyuk.

Let's not push this guy (Kassian). He's still immature, and if he fails on the 2nd line it's because he isn't ready. Some guys really need years to develop, it's how well and how fast players adapt to the game. In my opinion, I'd rather have Horvat getting 2nd line minutes. He will start off on the 3rd line next season but I see him making the transition, being a great compliment to whoever plays his wings.

At this point, I don't see Kassian fitting in to any role other than a 3rd. If players like Kassian start getting 2nd line minutes then we just stay inconsistent as a team.

I'm not sure if you're being serious considering that's the deal everyone puts together hahaha for anything.

I would love to have this guy with the Sedins!! I think the price would be high and I dont know if Gillis would want to give up alot for him.

I say Lou + Raymond + Tanev + 1st for Schenn, Franson and 2013 1st. Then ship Schenn Booth and Tor 2013 first for Ryan.

Ah one can dream :(.

Ryan or Nash to NYR. You heard it here first. Then when Canucks miss out on either or, CDC Implodes.

And enough with these dumb three way proposals.

My guess is that the Ducks would be looking for a more established defenceman than Tanev. Not to say that I would do this deal but if I was the Ducks, I would be asking for Edler. Top 2/4 D are hard to come by so a guy like Edler who can put also put up 50 points ought to have very high value.

so we're giving up essentially Luongo, Jensen and the 5th for Bobby Ryan. that's garbage, sorry.

Anaheim will be looking for a solid D-man - same thing we are.

I'd LOVE to get him, but don't see it happening.

Booth + Raymond + 1st + Tanev + Schroeder

for

Ryan and negotiation rights for Parros

Is that enough to get him without trading any of our core players?

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Ryan - Kesler - Jensen

Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - Schultz
Salo

Losing Tanev would suck, so I wouldnt offer this to the Ducks until were 100% sure Schultz is signing here.
