its hard to tell on a crapty video feed with functionally retarded announcers that are homers for the opposite team and don't even know our players names.

The announcers made it very hard to follow our prospects. Also, one of the announcers sounded like he was having an orgasm or something when Tatar scored in OT. :bigblush:

That would be the Grand Rapids play-by-play guy, Bob "Balls in a Vice" Kaser.

It really annoyed me that they were talking about Jurco and playing his interview for a few minutes while the game was going on. CALL THE GAME YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE CALLING.

Just watched the highlights and I know the OT winner has been done to death but.

What the.. Heck** was Connaution doing on the winner? Not to mention the call was brutal.

Wouldn't read too much in Kassian having limited minutes. I'm sure they probably didn't want to give him too many minutes considering it was their third game in 3 days.

Hope this is the case.

Connauton should have moved across and forced Tatar to make a move sooner instead of giving him that much time in front of the net. But at the same time, Lack could have easily poke checked the puck away from him.

Oh well, all part of the learning experience for these guys.

Upon several replays of the highlights, it seems like all three PK'ers made a mistake on that sequence. However I think Desbiens could have done a better job - his stick was covering the lane to the point man, but if he had been closer to the net and covering the pass through the slot, Friesen wouldn't have had to dive out that far to try and block a potential shot.

As for Connauton I can see why he chose to take away the pass as Tatar didn't have the best shooting angle, but either way the situation's not going to be ideal. Lack also could've tried for a poke check, but at that the miscommunication was complete and they were probably going to score either way, with the other 2 guys that far out of position.

Is Sweatt being used on the pk? To me that just seems like a no brainer. Him and Rodin are fast two-way players and should both be on the pk.

The pk units the way see them:

Unit 1

Mallet - Sweatt

Sauve - Tanev

Unit 2

Longpre - Rodin

Andersson - Joslin

Well Canucks fans, we've done it. We've actually managed to over analyze a Wolves game. Well done CDC, well done.

Meh, what else is there to analyze these days? I'm starved for hockey as it is.

^ Schroeder's also a key PK'er, strange that he wasn't out there in OT.

They need to hurry up and sign up more AHL games on Sportsnet. I want at least one Wolves game a week on my TV. It can't be that expensive to get rights to the My50 feed.
