BuretoMogilny
Dreger reporting, Conolly not on the ice and apparently will be waived. Nucks pick him up for free? Safe temporary fill in for Kes and give up nothing... thoughts?
SkeeterHansen
His cap hit is relatively high, isn't it? It'd be worth the risk considering our injuries.

Pears
I definetly wouldn't mind a free potential 2nd line center. How much of Connolly's salary would we have to take if we claimed him?

vancanfan
I doubt we pick up Connolly from waivers, wouldn't we just have sent Toronto a 5th rd pick for him then?

Monty
Canucks will not pickup Connolly. I like him, always have. But he is injury prone and not worth the risk. Nobody is quite sure at this point how long Kesler will be out for, might just be another month. The Canucks are probably counting on the Sedin's playing lights out, our defense and goaltending to keep things tight and steal quite a few games until Kesler and Booth are back. Connolly won't come the Canucks way.
Bodee
He doesn't look like he has ever stayed fit through a whole season. He's also a bit lightweight for my taste and little pushback in his make-up. Not for me. This team needs to get bigger and badder.
BuretoMogilny
If Gillis had any interest, he wouldn't allow him to hit the waiver wire and allow as many teams he will be exposed to in the next 24 hours. Something, anything would have been offered.

BuretoMogilny
I dont know why we would be worried about him getting injured worst case is he gets injured and he goes on the IR. best case is he doesnt get hurt and he regains his point a game status. hell when Kes and booth come back then they have a legit 2nd line player to play with who can pass. vancanfan
you're assuming there's alot of demand for him, prob not
Ossi Vaananen
Wouldn't we only take 1/2 his salary if we were to claim him? I'm not really interested in acquiring him, just wondering the rules on the new CBA, as previously we would only take 1/2 his salary.
