based on who's reported to be playing tonight...id like these line combos against the hawks:

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
Higgins - Kesler - Burrows
Raymond- Schroeder - Hansen
Booth - Lapierre - Weise

Kesler just returned after 10 month layoff and 2 surgeries; Booth's first game back = Seabrooke out.

No excuses for either team.

Agreed. Both teams are reasonably healthy. You're practically never going to have a completely healthy team on both sides so relatively speaking, in this game injuries are not going to be an excuse for either team.

Let's not start the goalie that was the ONLY reason we got two points last time we played the hawks... also Let's not start the goalie that has been one of the top three goalies in the league all year. ; )

Hopefully our offense is lights out tonight and we pull oit the win. Wouldn't br surprised if the twins light up all of Chicago tonight.

AV's smart for slotting booth in on the 4th line to begin with. ease him back with limited minutes until he can get up to NHL game speed. he's no ryan kesler who can center the 2nd line and play on the #1 PP/PK units on his first game back B)

im excited to watch booth's progression here. he will need to play an important offensive role on this team if we hope to make a deep cup run. should be interesting to see where in the lineup he winds up after a few games ... with the way AV juggles lines, i wouldn't be surprised if we saw booth get some time on the top-2 lines if he looks good in the first period tonight.

Booths a perfect fit on the 4th line, he loves rushing the puck up the ice without passing and going straight to the net, he can do that all day long on the 4th line.

i agree. his style of play certainly fits on the 4th line. but if he can produce offensively the way he is capable of, this will warrant top-6 forward minutes. if he plays to his full potential this year, i don't see him sticking on the 4th line for long.

It's so sad that Darth Kane, a Chicago fan comes on these boards and shows more respect to our team than a bunch of people on here that call themselves Canuck fans. On top of that, he speaks intelligently and respectfully while our fans want to send their player out on a stretcher and care more about injuring someone than winning a game.

Don't get me wrong, what Keith did was really wrong but I just want him to man up and fight someone. Not get seriously injured. But in the end I care more about the Canucks winning this game.

Nice to see Boother back in the line-up.

I don't think he'll last all game on the 4th line. AV will move him up the line-up by the end of the night.

Lets see how Schneider will do against the Hawks. The games in Chicago are the ones where all the drama sh1t happens so this should be good! Kassian needs to step up, he has to play top 6.

In the Behind the Lens photos, Volpatti looks a little banged up from the last fight. This might be a reason why Volpatti is sitting tonight over Weise. I actually don't mind either of them. Volpatti is tougher, but Weise is an alright player too. They're both a lot better than many 4th liners we've had in the past.

Not liking that Seabrook's out. Rather we beat the hawks when they're fully healthy than have an excuse as to why they lost to us. Oh well. Should be a good game.

Hear hear good luck

I'm not totally sure, but that poster may have meant Schneider is the starter for this game rather than he is the overall #1. You know what I mean? I could be completely wrong though.

Weise is a better skater than Volpatti but that's about it. Volpatti is a much better all around player than Weise is IMO.

I know what role Volpatti plays but I still have no idea what Dale Weise role on this team is. He can barely fight, seldom hits and never scores.

If the Canucks were to do something with Keith, the last game was where it should have happened.

I think special teams will play a tale in tonights match, meaning there will be much expected special teams play throughout the night.

I predict high scoring affair with a 6-5 Nucks win.

I'm sorry but I Booth is not a fourth liner, he's only there to get back to game speed. If he is there for an extended period of time I hope he gets traded because it would be ridiculous to have a 4.5 million dollar fourth liner.

I agree on the most part, Volpatti bring the phsyical edge but the guy has problems in the defensive end and usually has problems getting the puck out. I would stick with Weise in this one because of his defensive skills.

Nothing will happen to dk and who cares. We are men. We don't hold grudges! Who even cares anymore about the hit on dank! Winning is all that matters at this level and we can't let that petty bs get in the way of that
