I've proposed a few deals for Schneids since Jan.,(Clb, TBay), since he'd be easier to move. TO will prob start their annual panic/meltdown, thus might be open to a deal.

The premise of this deal is offloading poor contracts, & acquiring affordable youth, size/toughness, alongside some future wealth.

TO- Schneider, Ballard, Booth, & Sauve(12+ mill in Cap space)

VAN- MacArthur, Cody Franson(RH-D),Mark Fraser, Ben Scrivens, 1st rounder 2013 (about 5.7 mill in Cap)

Fraser's an RFA this summer. A +15 currently, big & tough. Leafs D is slower, Ballard may appeal to them.

We'd be set for next yr's 64.3 cap-scenario, with TWO 1st rounders this June.

Schneider is BRILLIANT, but we'd be good with Lu,(Scrivens temporarily), Lack & Canatta on the way up. At least Boston would have to face the Schneids regularly. Make the East tougher.

We don't need MacArthur, Fraser is pretty useless besides the fighting so we get a backup goalie, a first, and a right d man. Not bad for just Schneider maybe but throwing in everyone else. Surely we get better value somewhere else for those guys.

There is no trade market for Keith Ballard. Zero. He wouldn't even get claimed off of waivers. He can't stay in the Canucks lineup over Alberts and Barker and he makes a lot of money. He's going nowhere unless he gets a compliance buyout.

ballard has a market without a doubt. we wont fetch a young good prospect a 3rd liner and a 1st, but he should get traded for a need we have

Makes perfect sense, every underperformer in Vancouver for everyone doing well in Toronto.

Interesting trade option, I was thinking instead of throwing in a bunch of "underperformers" In every trade how about content for content.

How about this for a trade:

To Toronto: Kesler, Schneider

To Van: Kadri, Gardiner

Seperate deals:

To Philly: Edler, Hansen conditional 2013 2nd (2013 1st if canucks make cup final)

To Van: B. Schenn, Simmonds

---------

To Stl: 2013 3rd

To Van: Brian Elliot

Our Line up:

Forwards:

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows

Booth - Kadri - Kassian

Higgins - Schenn - Simmonds

Weise - Lappy - Raymond

Sestito

Defence:

Garrison Bieksa

Hamhuis Gardiner

Ballard Tanev

Alberts Barker

Goalies:

Luo

Elliot
