Salary dump for both teams.

To Vancouver: Tim Connolly
To Toronto: Keith Ballard

If we aren't going to use Ballard, this is the best option we have. I wouldn't do this trade, but AV continues to be stubborn.

On the bright side, we add a center man who can definetely play at the NHL level and is easily better than Ebbett.

We could have this:

Once Kass is back he can swap in for Jensen, and if Booth is back we can switch Higgins back to C and JS can be sent down.

Just an idea...

Would rather Ballard for Bozak.

Although a C for a D is probably the last thing they would do right now with the amount of D's they have sitting out.

Connolly's not the answer to our 2nd line. And I'd rather keep Ballard. He should already be in the top 6, and even if he's not, we'll need him if we have any D get injured.

And how long is Kassian supposed to be out for anyway?

Connolly is too injury prone, although I liked his game when he was in Buffalo, he could be a reclamation project but I don't think MG would go for this

Toronto doesn't want more defencemen, they have plenty already with Komisarek and Liles seeing time as healthy scratches and Gardiner still playing in the AHL.

I really don't see Toronto doing that. Neither do i see Conolly filling in Kesler's spot on the roster.

I wouldn't really mind Connolly as a 3C, but I doubt Toronto would take Ballard. They've already got:
Komisarek (also overpaid)
Liles (healthy scratch)
Gardiner (AHL)

They got tons of defensemen.

toronto already has a crowded blueline. if you really want to dump ballard, why not target detroit or philly, they need defencemen. as for conolly, correct me if im wrong, but dosent he have a lot of concussion issues?

I'd do it just to get rid of Ballard
