QMJHL,OHL,WHL 2013 Playoff Thread

Kitchener Rangers were just bested by the London Knights. This means Frankie Corrado can now join-up with the Chicago Wolves & be readied to receive a call-up by the Canucks to join 'em as they prepare to enter the NHL play-offs. Watching the Rangers in their final game...it was good to see Corrado play defense so responsibly. Unlike his team's captain Ryan Murphy...Corrado was great on both sides of the puck & pretty much did the right & text-book things. Does anyone else wonder what might have happened - had Frank been selected for Team-Canada (after his stellar try-out/camp) over the risk-takin' Murphy (who had just recovered from an injury at the time)? Offensive creativity is great - but BEST when tempered with some common sense & little bit of risk management. Corrado looked like the MORE capable pro in an NHL system. Altho' Murphy has potential upside akin to a lot of those Oiler 1st round draft picks..his plus/minus stats will be givin' any coach fits! Bet AV's pretty satisfied that he's being dealt another cool & intelligent right-shootin' D-man like....Corrado.

CHL conference finals set:

OHL:

Belleville (1) vs Barrie (2)- starts Friday

London (1) vs Plymouth (2)- no schedule yet

WHL:

Portland (1) vs Kamloops (3)- starts Friday

Edmonton (1) vs Calgary (3)- starts Thursday

QMJHL:

Halifax (1) vs Rouyn-Noranda (8)- no schedule yet

Baie-Comeau (2) vs Blainsville-Boisbriand (3)- starts Friday

Is this right that the QMJHL has no conferences? Just one, big conference?
