Ahh you conspiracy theorists, you make me chuckle.

You are part of the same group that tried to make everyone believe that the Family Guy episode that was spliced and diced was real and predicted the Boston tragedy.

But we have to respect your Wack-O-Licious ways.

You make the rest of us feel like normal people.

It seems that preliminary investigations show the Tsarnaev brothers acted alone and constructed the explosives from information found on-line, from readily available materials and the explosives came from retail fireworks.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been charged under federal law with using a weapon of mass destruction but not the federal anti-terrorism legislation.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alan-dershowitz/why-wasnt-dzhokhar-tsarna_b_3134554.html

And state charges are pending in the death of the MIT police officer.

The White House has rejected calls from Republican Senator Lindsey Graham to treat Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as an "enemy combatant" saying that as a US citizen committing crimes on US soil he must be dealt with not by a military tribunal bit by the criminal court system.

Also the FBI has yet to interview the wife of Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

A preliminary examination of the cellphones and computers used by the Tsarnaev brothers has found no indication of an accomplice in the Boston Marathon bombing, according to a U.S. counter-terrorism source briefed on the FBI investigation.

The source stressed that the investigation is ongoing, but bureau officials at this point appear increasingly confident that “nobody else was involved,” said the source.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has told investigators he and his brother acted alone, learned to build the pressure-cooker bombs over the Internet and were motivated by a desire to defend Islam because of "the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan," said the source, who has received multiple briefings on the probe.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has also told investigators that he and his brother got instructions on building bombs from an online magazine published by al Qaeda, federal law enforcement officials told NBC News.

He told investigators that the brothers read the instructions in Inspire, an online, English-language magazine that terror monitoring groups say al Qaeda began publishing in 2010.

The magazine has twice included articles on building bombs with kitchen pressure cookers — the method investigators say Tsarnaev and his brother, Tamerlan, used in the Boston attack.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was arrested Friday after a manhunt that shut down Boston and its suburbs. He was interrogated in a Boston hospital bed, where he is recovering from injuries sustained in shootouts during the hunt. His condition was upgraded Tuesday to fair from serious, federal prosecutors in Massachusetts said.

Federal authorities charged him Monday with using a weapon of mass destruction, which could carry the death penalty. State officials said they expected to charge him in the death of a campus patrol officer as part of the shootout that authorities say the brothers carried out early Friday, NBC affiliate WHDH reported.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev told investigators that he and Tamerlan, who was killed after the shootout with police in the Boston suburb of Watertown, were motivated by religious fervor but were not in touch with overseas terrorists or terror groups, officials said.

Several officials familiar with the interrogation of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev described his behavior as cooperative.

A fireworks store in Seabrook, N.H., confirmed Tuesday that the older brother bought two large pyrotechnic kits there Feb. 6.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev bought two “good-size” mortar kits, consisting of tubes and shells, and black powder, said William Weimer, vice president of the store, Phantom. He said Tsarnaev paid $199.99 under a buy-one-get-one-free deal.

Weimer said he had Tsarnaev’s driver’s license on file, and said the FBI was at the store Friday or Saturday.

From his hospital room, the younger brother, in what was officially his first court appearance, communicated mostly by shaking his head. He spoke once, when asked whether he could afford a lawyer. He said, “No.” He was assigned three federal public defenders.

The White House said Monday that Tsarnaev will be tried in civilian court. Some Republicans have called for him to be treated as an enemy combatant, and tried in a military commission.

Tsarnaev, 19, is a naturalized American citizen of Chechen origin. White House press secretary Jay Carney said that American citizens cannot under law be tried in military commissions. He also noted that “hundreds of terrorists” have been convicted and imprisoned since Sept. 11, 2001, under the civilian court system.

In the hospital, Tsarnaev was advised of his rights and charged with one count of using and conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction in the U.S. and one count of malicious destruction of property with an explosive device.

The suspect agreed to “voluntary detention” but declined to answer questions about bail, according to a court record. A probable cause hearing was set for May 30.

The twin blasts near the marathon finish line killed three people and injured more than 170. On Tuesday, there were still 45 victims in Boston hospitals, one in critical condition. Boston Children’s Hospital said that a 7-year-old girl with leg injuries had been upgraded to serious condition from critical.

Investigators want to speak with Tamerlan’s wife, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, who converted to Islam after she met her future husband at a nightclub. She dropped out of college, got married and had a baby three years ago.

Her lawyer told The Associated Press that he was trying to work out an interview. He said his client worked up to 80 hours a week as a home health aide while Tamerlan watched their daughter. He said she did not suspect he was plotting something.

He said she last saw her husband at home on Thursday morning, hours before he and his younger brother allegedly executed the campus police officer, carjacked an SUV and led police on a wild bomb-tossing chase that ended in a 200-bullet gunbattle.

So the government is willing to fake a terrorist attack, yet still need actors to augment a real bomb blast in a crowd of people? How does that make any sense? :picard:

As for the guy with his leg blown off, extreme heat can cauterize wounds to stop the bleeding. It's also possible that the medics used coagulants on the scene or cauterized it themselves before getting him on the wheelchair if cauterization hadn't occurred. He also looks very little like the soldier. Look at the difference in nose structures, for instance. You really need to stop buying in to every little bit of paranoid conspiracy propaganda you read on the internet.

who is under arrest except for Suspect #2? there's already overwhelming evidence against him, and it is perfectly legal to keep him in custody. he's in the hospital (one of the best in the world i might add), he has an attorney, and he was read his rights, including his right to remain silent. because he can't move, a judge came to him to have his first hearing, in company of his attorney. doesn't sound like something your beloved military dictatorship would do.

From wired.com:

False Flags, Fake Blood, and Michelle Obama: A Guide to the Boston Marathon Conspiracies

Forget everything you thought you knew about the Boston bombings. The real story behind the attack involves not a pair of radicalized brothers, but a world-spanning conspiracy of Michelle Obama, a network of Russian oligarchs, and an army of stagehands armed with fake blood. Oh, and deceased suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev? He was taken alive. Naked.

Of course all this is true, it’s on the internet. And the internet’s conspiracy theorists have been hard at work the past week revealing the hidden secrets behind the Boston Marathon bombings. The reason for all the complexity and machinations between the rich and powerful: it’s a necessary measure before imposing martial law in the United States. Boston was merely the catalyst.

Before you dismiss all this, ask yourself: can you prove the Boston bombings aren’t part of a plan to impose martial law? Didn’t think so. Asking our audience to disprove non-falsifiable claims is also an essential part of Tinfoil Tuesday, Danger Room’s sporadic venture into the delectable lunacy of online conspiracy theories. That sleight of hand involving the burden of proof are central to the conspiracy theories about Boston.

The Boston Marathon bombings have become a conspiratorial cornucopia. One video circulating the web purports to show a stripped Tamerlan being taken into custody, after he died. Other theories focused on Abdulrahman Ali Alharbi, a student and Saudi national who was injured in the bombing — and incorrectly reported by the New York Post to be a “potential” suspect. “Why was the investigation of a mysterious Saudi national with familial links to al-Qaeda suddenly dropped shortly after the Saudi ambassador held an unscheduled meeting with Barack Obama?” blogger Michael Snyder asked yesterday. “Why did Michelle Obama subsequently visit that mysterious Saudi national in the hospital?”

Maybe because Alharbi was never actually a suspect? But the Obamas – mysteriously – visited injured patients at several Boston-area hospitals on Thursday — something you’d never expect presidents and their spouses to do after a national tragedy. It’s merely the perfect cover for Michelle Obama to visit the Saudi national to discuss her sinister plans.

Nor was Michelle Obama the only one up to something shady. Blogger Daniel Hopsicker at Madcow Morning News — no relation to radio talk show host Erich “Mancow” Muller — named “Uncle” Ruslan Tsarni, the suspects’ uncle, as a member of the conspiracy. Tsarni’s accomplices? “Halliburton executives, suspected CIA assets, Chechnyan crime bosses, oligarchs stealing billions from banks and laundering money with seeming impunity, fire-eaters, peacock-feathered stilt-walkers, and a girl swinging on a trapeze pouring vodka into ice sculptures shaped like naked male and female torsos,” Hopsicker wrote.

It’s not clear what the swinging girl had to do with this. But none of their plans could have come to fruition were it not for the patsies on the ground on the day of the bombing. Blogger “Bman,” who writes “The Redneck’s Guide to Reversing Their Control of Your Brain,” speculated the traumatic leg injuries caused by the blasts were fake (warning: graphic), and the injured victims of the bombings were actors who dumped several liters of fake blood on the ground. “There is clear evidence of false flag staging here,” he wrote. (Ugh.) That theory was also picked up by online fans of alleged bomber Dzokhar Tsarnaev — they claim he’s been framed.

Alternatively, according to Israeli conflict tabloid Debkafile, the Tsarnaev brothers carried out the attacks. They just weren’t meant to. They were “double agents,” Debkafile claimed, “hired by U.S. and Saudi intelligence to penetrate the Wahhabi jihadist networks which, helped by Saudi financial institutions, had spread across the restive Russian Caucasian.” But then something went wrong. “Instead, the two former Chechens betrayed their mission and went secretly over to the radical Islamist networks.”

That doesn’t jibe with Infowars, which has the dubious honor of being out in front of all Boston Marathon-related insanity. Last week, the king of conspiracy sites flirted with the purported Saudi connection in the days after the bombing, but switched gears once the Tsarnaev brothers had their identities revealed. According to Infowars, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was a “false flag asset” in the employ of the government. “This is what fully fledged martial law in America looks like,” Steve Watson wrote. According to Infowars’ Kurt Nimmo, the purported Saudi link is now “part of the establishment’s plan to ramp up and extend the phony war on Muslim terror.”

So a conspiracy theory is itself part of the conspiracy? Laugh if you want. But if true, it means there are conspiracy theorists out there who may not be as trustworthy as they seem. Perish the thought.

Wow... the above article comes to no surprise.

Seriously what is wrong with America. I don't think ill waste as much time investigating the conspiracies as I did for 9/11. I'm 100% sold already that this was an inside job by the USA once again

Personally, I find their competence a lot more suspect than the notion of corruption.

If the government was as powerful as the conspiracy theorists seem to believe, they wouldn't need to stage elaborate farces to get what they wanted. They would just take it. Hell, as the American government stands right now, they just needed to invent "weapons of mass destruction" as a pretense for invading a country. Elaborate staged attacks are not only unfeasible, but unnecessary.

Look at his wound!! It doesn't look cauterized. None of his flesh seems dark or burnt, which would indicate cauterization. Even if it was cauterized there still would be a trail of blood behind him. Look at his face!! He looks too mildy contempt for a guy who just got his legs blown off. If that was me I'd be in disbelief, a state of shock, and holding back tears.
