Both made it to game 7 of the Finals and one was a post away from winning it all, while the other melted down. I started watching this team in 93 so I have a soft spot for Captain Kirk, but it does not change my love for Lu. I am very happy for him to get the start tomorrow night and was bummed he did not play here in Dallas last week. Especially after Schneids gave up a 5 spot. Gonz Posted April 24, 2013 Share Posted April 24, 2013 If Lu plays in the playoffs bc Cory is injured than Gillis 5 mil dollar insurance paid off. If Lu doesn't play a game than you wonder if a 5 mil player(s) picked up in a trade will improve the team significantly for the playoffs. I'm referring to the draft day when Gillis could of traded Lu as rumours persisted. Another possible theory. Cory is faking a "little injury" to make sure that Luongo plays the last home game of the season, because he knows it could very well be the last time fans see him playing for Vancouver.
