On to the next division.

My picks:

EA Sports. Both franchises have made some great games. I mainly play NHL games, and even though I've been disappointed with the last 3 NHL games, I played NHL 2004 so much it would be hard to go against it.

Halo. I thought the campaigns were mediocre, but the multiplayer was fun.

Resident Evil. One of, if not, the best horror franchise in gaming.

100px-0,594,0,594-Castlevania_-_Symphony_of_the_Night_%28gamebox%29.jpg

Castlevania. The NES and SNES games were great classics, but Symphony of the Night brought the franchise to new heights. SOTN is easily one of my favourite games of all time. So good that it, along with Metroid, have created their own genre, "Metroidvania".

Difficult choice but I voted 2K because imo the NBA 2K games are better than the EA NHL games.

All their other sports franchises are pretty equal though.

EA's dropped the ball in recent years but 2K is still pumping out fantastic games.

Agreed, NBA 2K (aside from the recent current gen 2K14 being the exact same game as 2K13) has always had better games than EA's NHL franchise. Next gen NBA 2K14 is amazing, I really wish I could afford a PS4 because I really want to try out all of the new features, especially the new MyPlayer. NHL has been the same game with updated rosters for a few years now, and their Be A Pro mode still isn't very good at all.

Also voted Tetris, Resident Evil, and Tomb Raider

- 2K>EA Sports

- I picked Halo over Tetris, because I don't understand where Tetris counts as a series. Brilliant game though.

- Resident Evil over the Sims. Despite spending an ungodly amount of time on variations of The Sims, Resident Evil has produced some great games, even if the 5th was poor, and the 6th even worse. Resident Evil 4 in particular is one of the absolute greatest games ever made IMO

- Tomb Raider over Castlevania. Both genre defining series, though my personal preference here is to Tomb Raider, even if got terrible and lazy part way through. The awesome reboot that was released this year is what tips it for the series edge over Castlevania.
