zejono
So many players from teams that I thought were 4th line grinder type players were actually drafted in the 1st round of the 2012 draft. When looking at each round from 2012 I think that year has to be pretty much the worst. What do you think?

flickyoursedin
Totally agree looking throughout that draft its been pretty underwhelming in terms of talent.
Baka
They have been a let down so far but most are only 21-22 years old and are literally still raw prospects. For example Shayne Gostisbehere is literally a rookie who is shredding it up and still learning. Realistically many other players from that class will also emerge. Jägermeister
Theres a lot of promising prospects and quite a few already established players in the league. A great draft? No. But far from the worst.

Don't forget Parayko who got drafted right after him
stonecoldstevebernier
In terms of top level talent, yeah 2012 was pretty barren. Yakupov hasn't panned out but even if you did a redraft its not like a surefire franchise player has emerged yet as an automatic #1. Guys like Galchenyuk, Forsberg, Trouba, etc are very good players but not at that level (yet).
logic
uhh.? 3 years is way to tiny of a sample size to use as a comparison for the quality of a draft class...
HC20.0
I think the Top 5 was pretty bad, but otherwise I think it's an okay draft. Not great, but not terrible. I think the 2010 draft was worse, though there were a few gems in that draft.

Broke out last season with 26 goals and 63 points, and having a solid start to this year as well. Nobody is gonna take his first line winger spot anytime soon.
