Thank you to @Captain Azzy for the quick and mutually beneficial negotiations. Jake is a big part of our team and we are looking forward to seeing him blossom alongside our young core group into the elite goalie we know he can be. We are also pleased to get Griffin under contract for next season. We are hopeful that he can compete for a spot on our blueline and have not ruled out the possibility of a callup late this season to give him a look. It might have been wiser to sign Pearson for longer term, but we couldn't risk the extra salary in case the cap doesn't rise. 2019 will be busy for sure, having the 3 above contracts expiring plus other notables like Kuznetsov and Ellis.
