Easy answer:

Yes, he is a #1 goalie.

The harder question... What is Demko?

Because Demko determines what happens with Markstrom. While I don't agree that one of them HAS to go.. I do believe for good asset management, one of them SHOULD go, for a top 6 or 1st rounder. Gotta pay to play.

give seattle a pick to frig off.

Right, I get that's what we may have to do if we want to keep both goalies.. but honestly is that the right move? The direction this team is headed, we should still be a powerhouse for years to come with a #1 and a decent back up. Isn't it better player management to trade one for an upgrade on forward? I know it will sting, but too often the Nucks hold on to things too long, and end up losing out.

yeah its gunna be tough with what ever management wants too do, because im sure markys gunna want a long extension/money and with demko being 25 next year, not sure how thats gunna work out.

This is easy peasy.  Trade Demko at the 2020 draft to recoup the first we traded to TBay fir Miller.  Then let

Stecher walk.  Sign .demko and Tanev.  All good for us to win back to back ?Cups:  2020 and 2021

It’s no secret that Jacob Markstrom is currently playing the best hockey of his career right now. His past 6 games he has 6 wins and a sub 2 GAA. Not only are his numbers really good, but even a fan like me who knows very little about goaltending can tell he looks more solid in the net and is giving up fewer opportunities for easy goals.

Now obviously, 6 games is a small sample size. But I started to wonder, how long until we’re convinced Jacob markstrom can be a legit starter? 1 month? The rest of the season? This season and next season? Lots of goalies have one good year then cool off again (Talbots a couple years ago, Mike Smith last year, etc.).

I’d be wary of labeling him as a bonafide number 1 until at least the end of the season to see if he can at least maintain his above average numbers from here on out.

Anyways, I don’t know how long this play from markstrom is going to last but I’m going to enjoy every minute of it till it’s over.

to see him thump another goalie at centre ice would help cement things
