  1. On the other hand maybe that means he is a year closer to being ready for the NHL and we are desperately going to need some new blood in the next few years.
  2. 3 assists and one goal now. Glass has 1 goal. Not sure why I want to compare them but I'm gonna!
  3. Mindhunter (Netflix) was great. 8.5/10. Kind of a slow burn. Lots of dialogue and no action or gore (well maybe the first scene). Only hints of it. The chilling parts are in the interviews. Made me want to read some of the books it is based on. Suburra (Netflix) was good as well. 8/10 Going to watch Fargo (Netflix) next.
  4. Was looking into some of the music on the Netflix show Mind Hunter and at the end of episode 4 was this. Turns out its Canadian with an interesting story. Not a fan of the strt though... Klaatu was a Canadian progressive rock group formed in 1973 by the duo of John Woloschuk and Dee Long. They named themselves after the extraterrestrial character Klaatu in the film The Day the Earth Stood Still. After recording two non-charting singles, drummer Terry Draper was added to the line-up; this trio would comprise Klaatu throughout the rest of the band's recording career. In Canada, the band is remembered for several hits, including "California Jam", "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" and "Knee Deep In Love". In the U.S. "Calling Occupants" b/w "Sub-Rosa Subway" was a minor double-sided hit and their only chart entry, peaking at No. 62 in 1977. The band is also remembered internationally for rumors that they were the Beatles recording under a pseudonym. Klaatu themselves did not start these rumors and always flatly denied them, and indeed no Beatle was ever involved in the writing, recording or production of any Klaatu material.
  5. According to Tryamkin Goldy should have made the team. What happened?
  6. I dont know too much about either player but Lind does seem like a close comparable to Cody Glass for all the CDC'ers that wanted Glass. Tall, Lanky, smart, good playmaker, decent skater, not too flashy.
  7. Buy in China. Could the government ever let this system fail? Clamp downs on the number of units one can buy in China spread the disease overseas plus diversification into different markets would be a good strategy no doubt! Who buys the resale crap when there is seemingly an endless supply of new units?
  8. Lastname looks slow out there. I think he should employ Bo's skating coach this off season
  9. I took all my money out of stocks soon after I made this thread. I needed to save for a house down payment so I did not want the risk of losing some money. Once I finish my reno in a few months and sell I will look at stocks again if I dont buy another house. I think I might rent for a bit and see where the house market goes then decide. I check in on this thread for some insight from time to time. I want to look at the alternative energy stocks. Or some other new market like marijuan or something to do with space.
  10. Just send him to Horvat's skating coach!
  11. Fascinating doco about a sample that basically created a genre of music
  12. Benning got lots of high end scoring potential this draft with a couple rugged defencemen thrown in and a very athletic goalie.
  13. Short but he looks solid with high end skill
  14. Going for the home run. High offense but small.
  15. Maybe anyone upset about missing on Glass will be happy with Lind? Points per game played were right behind Glass it seems.
  16. Tyszka just gone at 149 to Montreal. Chmelevski still around
