      The double standard here? Taylor Hall had NO penalty called on the Philip Larsen hit. I would say that hit constituted "as a result of distance traveled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner".

      If it had been a Vancouver player as the aggressor in either the Larsen or Scheifele incidents, they'd be suspended for 10 games and the coach would be fined.
