    Not sure why anyone would be paying a premium for goaltending anymore.

      Bobrovsky is way overrated. He had 1 excellent season, everyone overrates him, and now hes sitting on a 7 year 70million dollar contract. 

       

      Goalies do matter, especially if you are one of those teams that has had crap goalie for years, you feel it. cough Philly and Edmonton.

      AV for Tampa: $9.5 million

      Markstrom for Calgary: $6 million

      Bobrovsky for Panthers: $10 million

      Fleury for the Wild: $3.5 million

      Igor Shesterkin: $5.6 million

      Quick for LA: $5.8 million

       

      And of the non-playoff teams: Price in Montreal: $10.5 million who did go to the Stanley Cup Finals. 

       

      The reality is don't overpay for quality goaltending. But offer a reasonable contract.

      @Drakrami cant remember if they signed bobroksky that contract before they drafted spencer knight be interesting to see what happens in the future with that.
