    Weird to see Hamhuis and Bieksa still available as free agents. I wonder if either is considering retirement. And if so, would the Canucks bring them in on a one day contract?

      I don't want either player back outside of a one day contract should either decide that it's time to hang up the skates. Especially Juice. He was such an integral part of the last core, it seems right to honor him with a one day contract to retire a Canuck.

      Hamhuis can still play, albeit on a 3rd pairing capacity.  Bieksa has no gas left in the tank.

      Not weird seeing Bieksa as a free agent still. He's 37. Probably a PTO candidate, right now. He was a minus 13 and didn't record a goal in 53 games last season and battled injuries. 

       

      Dan Hamhuis is probably debating where he wants to move his family. Wouldn't be shocked if he was holding out hope seeing if the Canucks want him back (they don't). He'll probably go the way of Vanek and sign a 1 year late in the offseason. I could see Pittsburgh, Buffalo, or NYI taking a run at him.
