Lol that's not how it works. Besides, we basically needed to win every game to get into the playoffs before this game, and still do, so us giving them 1 point changes nothing. We won that's what we needed to do and what matters. Now they need to win again. And again. Nothing's different since it went to OT.

Honestly I will lose almost all faith in this management almost instantly if one of their first moves is not bringing back BB in favour of Maurice. Simply put, BB is a superior coach in every way. Look at their records and watch their teams play. I have no faith Paul Maurice would be the guy to get us anywhere. For all the talk about BB failures in the playoffs, you have to at least get there first which he does. Not to mention, I would imagine he has learned a thing or two from those failures. Besides, just give him another year. Replacing him with Maurice would be a f*cking joke.

Exactly why it makes zero sense to not bring him back. Even if they want to in bring in someone else, give the team one more year of Bruce for their own sanity if for nothing else l. They have played great under him. Last thing our core guys need is a new coach, new systems, and high potential for another slow start. Give them some stability with the same coach that was finally able to get results for at least one more year. His contract will be up at that point, make the decision then. Team option makes sense if we $&!# the bed, but we have played very well with him so it's a no brainer to bring him back. If they don't bring him back and the team faulters out of the gates next year, that's on management and I won't give them a free pass. Neither should anyone else just because they are new. It would be an atrocious move and up there with some of the worst Benning ever did. Also for all the talk about if management wants to "build for a few years down the road" how do we think our core players will feel about that? Especially with the way they have played under BB.

Guess we will see, he still has one year left. If he repeats this year next then he deserves it and maybe we can't afford him. If he reverts back to the previous 2 years or somewhere in between, he's still really good and should get paid probably in the 8 - 9 million range. Depending on what his demands are in that scenario would be good to resign him

Ya fair enough, and I am definitely not advocating we pay him like a 100 point do it all 1st line center. I'm saying he should get paid more like a 80 point 1st line do it all center.

It's a stupid point. Makes no sense. Of course each year is different the overall picture has been the same the same though and that's consistent. Pretty sure no one would disagree that its better to look over 3 years of play then 1 season and his past 3 seasons have been great. It's almost 200 games he has played for us and look at his PPG. It's very good. That being said I'm not advocating to sign him to a 10 million contract I've never said that. That would be using 1 season as a barometer which I would agree is dumb that's what I'm saying. If we look at his PPG over 3 seasons we get a better idea of his worth. 9 million max I say is his worth. 9.5 maybe depending on the term. (Shorter term of course)

You missed the point. Just look at ppg over that sample size, and see he has been very consistent. It's not a small sample size either.

Idk looks at his point per game over the past 170 games.
