I really liked Myers, Gaudette, Virtanen, Sutter, Benn, and of course Pearson tonight. Markstrom was great in net. I thought Miller was ok, but didn't really have a strong game today by his standards. With how he has played so far this season, I have high expectations of him. Didn't like Leivo tonight. Is the crowd aware that they're allowed to make noise and cheer on the team? They seemed awfully quiet until OT.

The whole team wasn't clicking on Saturday, and Calgary played a strong game, especially defensively. Not too many players will get on the scoreboard under these circumstances, even EP. He'll get going soon, not to worry.

Canucks need a 4th line heavyweight that can come in for certain games that are expected to be nasty. Not every game, bit we need a heavy to draw in when needed.

I never said I wanted a goon on the team, like some Chris Simon type player. I want an enforcer that can stand up to the heavyweights when need be, like a Reaves type. Despite all that's been said about the game changing (and they've been saying that forever) intimidation will always be a part of the game, and it's better for the Canucks to have that type of player for when we need him. That's just the reality.

I agree, Reaves would be ideal.

If a team is going to play the physical style of game, they're going to need someone to stand up to the heavyweights, because some teams will inevitably push back. That's where the enforcer comes in, he doesn't have to play every game, but it's good to have that kind of player if you need him. Think of it as insurance.

Canucks are tougher than they were, it's a step in the right direction, but it's still not enough. We need a legitimate enforcer.

Saw a video where Kypreos was saying that the Flames wanted to improve their toughness. I think he also said they're counting on a return to form for Lucic.

I'm hoping we can get a heavyweight for a 4th line enforcer role, to draw into games when we need him. I'm glad we're tougher overall as a team, but I'd feel better if we had someone to take on guys like Lucic and Reaves.

I think they're more likely to get their fuel from mainstream articles and channels like TSN. You have players like Goldy, Gudbranson, and Sutter who have taken more than their fair share of heat on these forums, but I've never heard of them facing any real hate from our fans on social media.

Benning gets his share of negativity on here, there's a group of regular posters that constantly criticize him. Most on here seem to like Green. Green's priority is to get the team going, he has to think about the team first. If Loui isn't producing he's going to be dropped to a bottom 6 role. Even if some of the negativity us unfair, Loui is a professional, and part of the job is taking heat from fans.
