I still think Jake will be fine. On a forum like this people have to be prepared to hear positive and negative stuff on a player because nobody is perfect and everyone has areas to improve in. Granted sometimes I think people go a little to far with the Jake bashing but when people are passionate about their team people will over do it sometimes. We are all here because we care about our team. Be careful not to judge people too harshly for passion.

I don\t think JS is the same kind of player as JC. I think that heis more comparible to Tanev with maybe a little more offensive potential. Mind you, just because a kid has offensive potential in Jr. or even College, doesn't mean he will be that kind of player in the NHL. RE is undersized like JS and it makes sense that JB told him to watch Ryan Ellis. I think JC maybe watching some one else. Also, I think he is going to have to work an being a little more physical in his game in order to make it in the NHL. I think that is an ajustment for most young defencemen. I like how TS did that.

The question one should ask is whether he is a better prospect than Neil and Olson. In my mind (no jokes about my mind) he is the better prospect. They only have so many spots on defence in Utica. Jimbo has to determine who he thinks will make Utica and have room to put those he wants there. In the next 2 years Jim will have a lot of his picks in our system. Does anyone know if there is a replacement for Alaska yet?

I have said it before, I am a Jake fan but I don't think people will stop talking about Jake's mistakes until he goes out there and proves everyone wrong. I think he will at camp but I just don't think it is realistic to think people will just let it go. I am not a fan of "slagging" him all the time but Jake has to have a good showing to prove everyone wrong. AND HE WILL.

I have to agree with "Toews" and say the jokes got old fast; for me anyway. I don't think the subs comment was serious. I can't believe a person his size could actually eat multiple subs unless he or she was a competitive eater.

Seems like people who are seeing him around are seeing him on a bike or having just worked out and seems to be in good shape. Maybe it is time to give him some credit for working hard and making things right. It might be time also to loose the "fat jokes,"

I know Jake gets a lot flack but I think most of Canuck fans are cheering for him to make it.

For what it is worth, I agree with you.

This year in 49 games he scored 61 points 29 goals 32 assists. Over a point a game. His numbers aren't that bad.

I think he needs to work on his being more intense. Maybe Jimbo could call him out like he did to GB at the end of camp last year.

I have to admitt that I find this Jake thread a little nice to prospect Jake.

In the last month of the season he seemed to be doing quite a bit at high speed. Some times he looked too fast for the AHL. He made some pretty amazing end to end rushes and one particularly where he went around the net and set up Valk for a nice goal. I think it was against the Penquin's farm team, if I am remembering correctly. My wife is watching me type and is laughing at me because she says my memory isn't as good as I think.

I wish you were right (Hope this wasn't sarcazum) but it is highlly unlikely.

I am a big music fan and like a lot of styles of music but being over a half century old I have to say I wasn't a fan but got a kick out of the drummer. I think he was the youngest.
