    Thought the team played well tonight but was disappointed that Virtanen only received just over 7 minutes. Considering he was having an impact and from what I saw playing strong, Id liked to have seen him hit the 10min mark. Im just hoping this isn't a precursor to what happened with Jake/McCann. Virt low min and brock cut isn't in my mind the best way to sell a rebuild and move forward. Hopefully things change in the coming games as I realize the small sample size.

      I dunno.... pretty hard to argue with Green's deployment decisions last night. Plus Jake made the most of those minutes.

      Special teams, Virt wasn't on them, that's why the low ice time. But he a solid game. He'll get the minutes.

      My initial reaction was like yours Retro, but the more I thought about it became like @Ghostsof1915and @Jimmy McGill.  Before Jake complained about low minutes not letting him get into games.  Well, he clearly was in that game as he definitely made the most of his minutes.  We'll see what next game holds.  I think Green was very wary of deployment so not to get torched by McDavid and Draisaitl.  He may loosen the reigns a bit next game and give Virtanen a few more minutes.
