  1. I like Dahlen, Dahlen Dahlen Dahlen what a nice name can't wait to yell it to the rafters when's playing here
  2. That last quote interested me most. Its interesting to hear a guy say that Juolevi shouldn't be back, makes it sound like Juolevi's bored and playing below his level. Hopefully Benning's of the same opinion and if he think Juolevi isn't ready for the NHL, he should send him to Finland or another place to play. Personally I think Juolevi is going to be a great D and will be on the team next year. I also think he's going to play extremely well, especially if played with a smart guy like Tanev.
  3. Im pretty sure Benning said he's going back to windsor.
  4. Good guess by me and thanks for the update
  5. Timra IK is playing but it looks like Dahlen isn't. Was going to try and watch thinking he was playing but not now haha. Assuming he's a healthy scratch?
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlme9iIEqGc
  7. He looked really good in this one. Playing fast, nice passes, scoring chance, hard on the back check. Looks like he's developing well. Seems a little snakebitten with regards to points but he isn't playing with many other offensive players. Might be good for him to start in Utica next year and play with a guy like Dahlen or Boeser. Hoping we get ZAR as well down there.
  8. As much as I like Virtanen, are you taking this back now?
  9. If ZAR signs that just means we send Gunce or Goldy down to Utica. Or waive Megna
  10. Ya I wasn't really ranking them on where they'd play, more like, chances of being on the team. Also won't be surprised if Valk is offered a contract from another NHL team or if he goes international. I doubt the Canucks give him a contract but maybe the Comets will give him another.
  11. Defense- Pedan, McEneny, Sautner, Subban Offence- Labate?Grenier? Not a lot of forward prospects Archibald? The comets are going to see a big turnover up front next year. Will be interesting to see how they do. But with Demko in net, a decent D group and a bunch of young fast offensive forwards coming in, it should be fun to watch! Dahlen-Cassels-Virtanen Jasek-Gaudette-Boeser MacEwan-Aston Reese?-Laplante Stukel-Abols-Mackenzie Whatever they do, there is going to be a lot of competition for spots!
  12. Wow what a shot! Biggggg wind up and BANG!
  13. dreaming.. but you never know. Id say we have as good or better shot at signing him then anyone else
  14. Agreed, we just had mixed messages to each other haha
  15. True but he is only 19. When your that young its hard enough to play against men and put up any points. Playing with kids his own age and doing well shows he's a step further ahead then others. Just have to wait and see for when he's over here, see wether or not he can compete against others his age and older in the AHL.
  16. Seems to be stepping up in the playoffs, will be fun to see how he looks in Utica next year!
  17. Wow I disagree with everyone that says he is stagnating. Juolevi has increased his point totals, while playing a more defensive role this year. He is a solid prospect and will be a big part of our team for years to come. Also remember that Juolevi is young and will have his ups and downs. When he was drafted Benning said he wouldn't be a huge points guy but just a great D all around. Just let the kid develop and you'll see.
  18. I think Markstrom and Bachman next year would be fine. Markstrom needs a shot at number one and I think he may be the type of guy that needs to play a lot to succeed. Time to cut ties with vets and get younger. Even if we lose more games. Plus one more year at the bottom of the league would be good for us, next year is looking like a very good draft! Plus with Bachman up he can try to prove he's an NHL backup and Demko gets to be number one down in Utica.
  19. Well if your taking Tryamkin out of that spot Im putting Virtanen there. MacEwan has a chance of making the NHL but no way is he that close. He might turn into something great, after all power forwards take longer to develop but he's no guarantee.
  20. You're right, I was just referencing that the Canucks might get stuck with a bad contract.
  21. I disagree, who knows how this neck injury will affect him and his play. Also he affects are cap hit for a couple years and can affect us signing other players. If he can't play his style then theres no point having him. Leadership is great but if a player can't play, that leadership may evaporate due to his frustration. The last thing we want is a guy not playing well and being depressed about it, brings down the whole team. Who knows, maybe he'll come back and play well, but his neck may be in the back of his mind and affect his play. If you want examples of what I thinks going to happen then look at what happened to Prust and Higgins. Good leaders but if you can't play then your not of much use anymore. Injuries end careers. Also it hurts the team because you can put in a younger guy with more upside such as Crammer, Chaput or Labate. Guys that play with energy and are competing hard to earn spots.
