    I don’t see any where or any level how Dobson is as valuable as Hughes or Petey guys put up 72 points in his career and is -3 we’ll playing for one of best defensive coach’s ever with great shutdown partner. Well hughes put that up in one year. Petey and Miller are also 70 point player on a bad year. Guys put up 99 points don’t grow on trees. You guys need quit undervaluing what miller has done as Canuck. Islanders need and want to improve in scoring there number 1 priority you want 99 point guy pony up.

    I agree I’m not as high on holtz as I am Walsh. Future D of Hughes rathbone Sverson Walsh I could get down with. But I’d definitely be trying add Pearson in the deal and 3rd piece if it wasn’t McLeod maybe Boqvist or Foote.

    Likely Pearson and Myers move for cap room, but we do need a longer term 3C still.  Much easier to find than a 1RD and 2RD.

     

     

     

     

    I just find hard believe if Sverson plus holtz was there it would be already done.

    Projects like Walsh and McLeod do nothing to move the needle for us. And Severson could very well walk on us next offseason.

     

    If we’re not getting a stud young D then we need a legit forward prospect.

    Walsh looks far from project he might be our right handed Hughes. Obviously the trade would only be done with extensions in place. McLeod started look like solid 3rd line centre near end year I just don’t think the big package is there for miller or it would be done.

    Either way, I still feel adding Severson (+prospect/pick or two) and Klingberg at the expense of Miller moves us much further along.  It secures our D for years and doesn't block our immense winger depth from progressing.  Balances the team much better for the contract we have with Demko and Hughes.

    I agree I’m just not sure of forward depth with miller gone in that package. I’d like add Pearson in deal to sign guy like Rodrigues.

    Excactly I’d take that package without picks if it meant we could dump Pearson which might be okay with devils with such young team. Then finding taker for Myers for klingberg would be insane.

    Unless the market is dead for Miller or Klingberg wants nothing to do with Van I don’t see how the moving Miller option isn’t a better one.  First one covers the top 4 D for many years.

    I’d dream of this happening Pearson Miller For Sverson Walsh McLeod.

    Not really I think Petry is better player then Sverson even at his age. Anderson is proven leader top 6 forward good for 20-35 goals. Holtz is unproven and far from sure thing hence why I ask for first.

    I don't think a Miller trade is going to happen. JR/PA are probably afraid how the team will do without him. 

     

    I guess no playoffs and Miller walking after next season would be considered a disaster, huh?

    That’s been problem with Canucks in last 7 years there okay with scraping by and losing in 1st round. If we don’t feel like we have deep  team to go deep aim for high picks prospects. That’s why I’d be okay with sucking without miller for prospects picks and assists in deepest draft in last 10 years.

    Hughes take care of the left and if OEL can take care of the right side, similar to Theodore, BB have a lot more options.

Honestly, maybe the Canucks just ride it out, rather than receive junk in return. Another year of Miller leading by example could have a strong impact on the younger players. 

    I think it’s cause Alvin and Ruthford know his value to our team and asking for a ton cause we won’t replace his value to our team in a trade.
