Yeah, straight up. I literally thought it was fair game till I heard Rogan explain it.
Not familiar with UFC rules, figured id give it a go for bets and see how I did.
Edgar won, Maia and Stipane (i think) ned to win and im good!
Read somewhere that other middleweight guys were pissed about GSP v Bisping as well. First Bisping barely defends his title against an old Dan Henderson and now he was wanting to fight a Welterweight in GSP..who likely has no intention on staying in that division.
He was definitely ducking..he took on Amir Khan who is a great boxer at a MASSIVE weight disadvantage, Cotto at pretty heavy weight disadvantage and took on a very inactive Chavez Jr.
When I say younger generation..I was referring more to guys like Erroll Spence Jr and Keith Thurman. Hell even Kell Brook went up 2 weight classes to fight GGG, had his orbital bone broken and didn't duck a match with Erroll Spence.
Yep, Canelo is the better boxer but has never faced anyone with GGG power and as relentless. Should be good!
I love this new generation of fighters..theyre not backing down and want to fight the best. This years been a great year for boxing.
I always thought Lowry was overrated and would be a nodody if he didn't play in Toronto. Still think that actually..but I also don't like the Raptors so hope they resign em.
Canelo just outclassed Chavez in a weak main event. But the ending was funny..GGG came out to the ring like a WWE wrestler and they confirmed the GGG v Canelo fight will be taking place on September 16.
Undercard was good..Matysse returned after an 18 month lay off and won by 5th round KO. The Lemuiex fight was a good one too..with him just absolutely landing bombs 10 straight rounds on his opponents head (Reyes..i think) and the guy did not drop.
Chavez v Canelo
This one's going to be a good one! Julio Chavez looks like he's ready to battle and finally make his stamp on boxing.
Hoping he upsets Canelo!
