  1. Kirill Kaprizov with a hat trick in yesterday's game against the Arizona Coyotes, especially his third goal was a beauty, buried a one timer home. Checked out at what draft pick he was selected by the Wild and couldn't believe that he was a 135 overall pick /(5th round) for the Wild. Wild hit gold with this pick. His stats in the KHL are very impressive. His first appearance was back in the season 2014-2015. Last two seasons with ZSKA Moskau he scored 30 goals and 33 goals respectively. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/265645/kirill-kaprizov What player in the later rounds Jim had drafted during his tenure turned out to be such a beauty? Jim's draft record isn't as good as many fans believe. Just saying...
  2. It's brutal that their best D-Men are out with Makar , Byram and Timmins.
  3. wow..... wait... First thing I would like to mention is that you might missed the reason why Eichel is out for the Sabres. Here "u" go: Eichel out Sabres PR: Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel will miss tonight’s game with an upper-body injury. Elliotte Friedman: There have been some rumblings that Eichel could be out longer-term. There has been no clarification on this. Aaron Ward: “My understanding is that this is an old injury ‘flare up’ and the reason he’s out. Because this could be long term, told he’s likely to seek a 2nd opinion. ” Lance Lysowski: Sabres coach Ralph Krueger wouldn’t say if Eichel’s injury is a long-term injury. Krueger also wouldn’t say if the injury happened during the game against the Islanders on Sunday. Fact is that he is injured and there is even a possibility that it's a long term injury. Secondly I would like to mention that I watched Travis Green postgame presser with the postmedia. Someone from postmedia asked Travis about Pettersson's absence. Travis response was basically: injured, upper body, day to day. There is absolutely no reason why Travis should lie. @Mods: Can we please close this thread? Thanks.
  4. quality post. Thanks. You raised lots of excellent points for being invested in PLTR. No doubt about it. I fully agree with all of your arguments, but here are two things I would like to bring to your attention: 1. the big difference between PLTR's software compared to other companies software is that it's needs to be customized to a much higher degree than other software solutions. Customization of PLTR's software requires PLTR staff to visit clients (lots of travel required) in order to customize and implement SW. Customization is time consuming and costly and has negative impact on gross margins. That's exactly the reason why PLTR's gross margins will be significantly lower than gross margins of other Software companies. 2. the need for customization comes along with the limited ability for PLTR to scale up their SW. This is most likely the reason why the future growth of PLTR as a whole might not be as dynamic as the growth of other SW companies. The performance figures PLTR reported for FY 2020 and Q4/2020 were not the reason why the stock dropped once PLTR announced their figures. The main reason was the poor outlook for 2021 when it comes to growth. Growth percentage forecasted for 2021 was below the growth percentage PLTR achieved in 2020. That was kind of disappointing for participants of the conference call of PLTR's CEO Karp and PLTR's CFO. Don't get me wrong. I have lots of respect for the arguments you mentioned. We don't have to agree on this one. I decided to go with other SW companies instead of PLTR.
  5. Do you think Nucks are going to have enough Cap Space available to add a young top 6 winger in free agency?
  6. Not that much options to add a 3C via free agency : - RNH - Blake Comeau - Matthias Janmark - Alex Wennberg - Philip Danault
  7. ZERO alternatives. Absolutely zero alternatives in the Top 6, with Ferland on LTIR. Toffoli would have been the man, but this ship has sailed. Toffoli with 15 goals so far miles better than the guys we have like Jake... for example. But hey Benning wants to add a top 9 guy ... Still searching. Get nothing done. ...
  8. This doesn't belong in here but I will post it anyway. There are numerous job offerings from Tesla out there for their Berlin Gigafactory, actually it's close to Berlin, Germany. Currently Tesla is struggling to fill all their vacancies with qualified staff. 350 vacancies needs to be filled in total, thereof in manufacturing 195, in IT 29, in facility management 26, in logistics 25, other 75. 52 vacancies needs to be filled at the management level (top jobs), thereof in manufacturing 34, logistics 5, IT 4, design 1, other 8. Might be a great opportunity to work abroad for some of you guys. Not to mention that Tesla is paying it's employees well above average (based on what I have read so far about hiring staff for Tesla Gigafactory in Germany).
  9. PLTR is an interesting one, because Cathie bought 2.497.000 shares in PLTR on February 26, 2021 and another 1.988.000 on March 3, 2021. Cathie seems like to be fully convinced about PLTR's long term potential. I consider myself to be well informed about PLTR's business model and financials. Based on various reports I have read about PLTR's business over the last months I am not convinced that Cathie's bet will play out well......
  10. last season was an outlier year for Jake with 18 goals and 18 assists in 69 games. Offseason would have been the perfect time to trade him away. Unfortunately the Top -6 player Jake didn't show off in the playoffs whereas Pearson contributed consistently.
  11. Greener knows Jake for many, many years. There is a good reason why Greener gives Pearson more minutes per game than he hands to Jake. One reason is obvious: it's consistency. Pearson brings his game each and every night whereas Jake takes not only shifts off but also games. Greener has been given Jake top 6 opportunity countless times but Jake couldn't take advantage of it. There is a reason why Jake has been in the rumour mill over the last couple of months. Take a moment and think about it.
  12. Canucks to figure it out from within Brandon Batchelor: Vancouver Canucks GM Jim Benning on Sportsnet 650: “I don’t think there’s anything that we’re going to do, going to the outside to add a player. We just have to try and figure out how to get better from within. That’s the way Travis is attacking this whole thing.”
  13. Does this description of his abilities sounds like "bust" to you? An electric offensive presence on the ice, Casey Mittelstadt brings the complete package of speed, skill, and hockey sense. He competes hard with every shift, and has the dynamic puck skills to keep up with his creativity, which is a hallmark of his game. His awareness is all-encompassing, and he never puts his teammates in positions where their time and space will be bottlenecked. Bigger players don't phase him, as he thinks the game analytically and will find chinks in the opposition's armor on the fly. As a result, Mittelstadt is often seen forcing more complicated plays that the opposition won't be able to read in time. On top of all this, he can play a north-south game, and his transition game is already at an elite level. He's a complete player with the predatory instincts necessary to succeed as a consistent and, perhaps, dominant point producer at the next level. (Curtis Joe, EP 2016)
  14. I get Jim's call to choose Quinn over Dobson, because it's way more difficult to add a dynamic offensive D-Man like Quinn to a team than a Noah Dobson - type of player. There are only a few dynamic offensive D-Man in the league and the value they provide to their teams is tremendous. Just look at the value a player like Cale Makar has for the Av's team, especially last year's peformance from Makar was outstanding. It's easier to add a Noah Dobson type of player to the team either through the draft or in free agency than a Quinn Hughes type of player. Did a lot of research ahead of the draft 2018 reading countless scouting reports. Based on this I really wanted Benning to draft Dobson. I am O.K. with Hughes tough.
  15. Bieksa: definitely a couple of years away from contending compared to Benning's hopefully two years away. Someone must be completely wrong on this one. “Hopefully two years” the Canucks are back competing for the Stanley Cup according to Benning. He is still believing in their drafting and developing of players.
  16. Google's Waymo and GM's Cruise miles ahead of the rest of the pack when it comes to autonomous driving, according to DMV's disengagement and mileage report for 2020. Tesla not even listed. https://www.forbes.com/sites/bradtempleton/2021/02/09/california-robocar-disengagement-reports-reveal-about-tesla-autox-apple-others/
  17. fall in love at first sight with the new luxury car from Daimler - EQS - / What a beauty...... That's going to become a really interesting race between the luxury car makers Lucid - Daimler - BMW - ......
  18. here u go: https://auto-institut.de/automotiveinnovations/emobility/die-innovationsstaerksten-automobilhersteller-von-batterieelektrischen-fahrzeugen-bev/ CAM institute is one of my favourite sources to do some research on the developments in EV sector
  19. strength of innovation ranking from the center of automotive management related to EV's of several car maker's 2020: 1. Tesla 159,4 points - top innovator 2. VW 122,6 points - fast follower 3. BYD 70,0 points - fast follower .. 6. GM 40,2 points - follower ... 17. Ford 12,8 points - latecomer Tesla and VW are the heavyweights in the EV sector. This is going to become a battle between those two on the markets in China and Europe.
  20. O.K finally got it. Checked out Chris Conte 79 twitter account and found that he is in the sarcasm & meme business. Wasn't familiar with it.
  21. ANGRY Goose, here "u" go. Vaccines are effective & safe. Otherwise they wouldn't have gotten the approval from FDA in the States, EMA in Europe and other Health care authorities all over the world.
  22. Sometimes you just can't blame society.. Why decided Meghan & Harry to have this interview with Oprah? They could have decided to live their lives without being in the limelight. .... Life is all about the choices you make... Both, Meghan & Harry should seriously think about this.
