I just can't wait to see what he can do in the Boeser spot on the PP.
Hopefully he is 2nd PP next year with Boeser on the first and moved up to the first whenever Boeser isn't available.
Now to sign Pettersson for the other side.
We should have a top 5 PP again within two years.
Would have played against Boeser and Stetcher. Was teammates with Matt Benning (Edm) and Zach Anton Reese (Pit).
But to directly answer your question without stretching. No.
And if this impressive start to the playoffs translates to over a point per game in the Finnish league next year we could be looking at an NHL player sooner rather than later.
But possibly Pheonix to Kansas City might be an option. I can't see them moving an eastern team west when Quebec wants a team, but moving a Pacific team to the central is going to be necessary so it could happen and solve that logistical issue.
And we will have divisional realignment issues once Seattle makes the Pacific 9 teams. Does Phoenix finally move? Does Carolina or Florida move to Quebec? There will be more than just a 32nd team. Will be entertaining to watch.
But only a slight learning difference for Dahlen to hold that puck a half second longer and curl around the next a little more and get that puck up over the pad (preferably roofed). NHL goalies are bigger and faster but not magic.
But with having three potentially strong young centers hopefully we continue to draft well in that area and keep feeding potentially strong centers into the ranks and thus not have the problem we had this year when Horvat and Sutter both went down. In that case Pettersson's ability to play wing as well as center is also valuable AND the teams ability to load up lines as well as spread them out allows the team to look different at different times and defeat systems put in place to shut the team down.
