  1. Don’t see the Canes winning this one. These are the defending Cup champions they are playing. Going with Caps in 5.
  2. I reaalllly hope the Avs can pull off an upset, but I don’t think it’ll happen. I depise the Lames but I think they win this in 6.
  3. While it’s a lot closer race now, Petey still wins it; no question. Binnington has been good, but only came in halfway. The impact and excitement that Petey has brought is second to none.
  4. I hate both teams. So it’s bittersweet no matter what. One team I hate is out, yay! One team moves on... ugh. Either way, I don’t see either one of these teams beating Tampa out east. Picked Boston in 6. Because they can actually defend. Leafs defence is trash.
  5. Recently, it’s the Leafs that really grind my gears. Mostly due to their obnoxious media and fan base. Their team is even obnoxious at times! I cannot stand Kadri. It brings me great satisfaction knowing that they will likely get bounced early in the playoffs. Historically, the Hawks were always a loathed opponent. Keith- that mofo. I’ll never forget him headhunting Danny. Though the rivalry has died Lames- always hated them. Their team are nothing but annoying whining trolls as same as their fans.
  6. Think Knights win this. They have a much more balanced scoring and Flower who is a playoff beast. Sharks are notorious playoff failures. Knights in 6.
  7. People scapegoating Benning and Green clearly don’t understand what a rebuild is. Benning has drafted some elite talent (Petey, Brock, Hughes) and found some gems (Gaudette) as well as our prospects making strides in the minors. Sure not all the contract signings have panned out but he has turned a mess that Gillis made into a promising future. Rebuilding takes patience and does not fix itself in 1 or 2 years. And patience is something most of our fanbase does not have.
  8. Alright fellow fans, can we please focus on Quinn? Enough with Gretzky, Mario and Coffey. Those days are long gone!
  9. Welcome Quinn! We are so glad to have you! And we hope to welcome your little bro in the summer if we finally get some draft luck!
  10. Hardly. Kid thought he should’ve been called up to the NHL when he had done nothing to deserve a call up. Sounds like entitlement to me. Ask Gaudette, MacEwen or Sautner if Utica was bad for their development.
  11. Honestly I’m happy. He was getting burned constantly in the d-zone and wasn’t helping at all offensively. Losing the size and toughness sucks but overall this will be good for us, especially with Quinn arriving next month.
  12. Putting the cities themselves aside... why would playing for the Panthers be attractive? The team has never won anything, and only made the finals once in their history. The arena is barely a quarter full and no one gives a $@*% about hockey. That is good reason to avoid Florida IMO.
  13. Good to see that players are seeing the potential we have in the upcoming years. (Thanks Jim!) With a really talented youth group coming up, Vancouver will be a very enticing place for free agents and players again. Good time to be a Nucks fan!
  14. Have to say, Quinn’s shot has improved a lot in the last few months compared to what I witnessed at the WJC. Can’t wait till he joins us!
  15. Ahh yes, I remember those days; the shock of having to adjust to living by yourself with no parents. Having to cook for yourself, buy groceries, clean and drive yourself to school or work. Its an adjustment, but it makes you grow up and become an adult. Good on ya Kole.
  16. Not even close. Sid knows how to play defence which McDavid seems to be struggling with. Sid makes everyone around him better. Not to mention he comes through when his team needs him he most (Pens with their back to back cups, Team Canada as well: Golden Goal at the Olympics, MVP at the World Cup) Guy’s a serial winner.
  17. Lol hardly. The Leafs still have holes to fill. One decent aquisition does not solve all their problems.
  18. Think it’s way too early to write Dahlen off. It’s only his first year playing pro on North American soil. Much different than European style. He’s still very young, and will adapt accordingly. Just need to have patience. Not worried
  19. Hello Thatcher Demko!! So excited! Glad Jim was able to get something in return. Even if it was just Pyatt and a late round draft pick
  20. The Swiss-Russia game is crazy... The Swiss missed back to back penalty shots!! The hell!!??

    1. Dazzle

      Dazzle

Saw the game. Really didn't deserve to win at all. There was also the 5 minute major PP which they did jack all on.

  21. I noticed the casual defense live against Slovakia too. A few times Quinn’s check would be wide open because he got caught puck watching, and he would try to do too much in his own zone which resulted in turnovers. Team USA is lucky Slovakia isn’t really gifted offensively because do that against Canada and they would’ve been slaughtered. That being said, I’m not worried. Quinn will learn how the NHL works. He’s a very smart player, and is very gifted offensively. Defensively he will figure it out.
