  1. Luck is the thing that exists regardless of our opinions. But, there is a secret-"good luck as something we create by sheer hard work, bravery and optimism." https://www.forbes.com/sites/margiewarrell/2015/03/17/create-the-luck-youve-been-wishing-for/#376d96574ace
  2. We do need Edler back. GCG! My life is not very good right now- health and otherwise and Canucks run helps me tremendously.
  3. Obviously, he does not understand and he does not care- the young Canuck team just won the most importang game for this new core and all he was talking about was a book on hockey cards? It was odd.
  4. He will be there, just give him 2 years His play along the board on JV goal was amaizing
  5. The main adjustment SLB did- they put Allen in the net.I mean, guy put up over 96% SV in 2 games. His play is the main reason why it is not over and will go for at least 6 games. Canucks need to have more net presence and crash the net at any chance the got. Just my 2 c.
  6. I don't think we are &^@#ed. I think our young core are getting huge experience playing vs. defending champions. Plus, as a additional bonus- they are spending tons of time together bonding as a team. So, it is all good.
  7. I like your enthusiasm, I really do. And I keep on cheering for the team , no matter what. Hope died the last. But deep inside I know that this is over. I will be very happy to eat my words, just can't see a way for Canucks to win it this year. Sorry.
  8. Deb, I've got the same feeling-it is over. I've never been a bandwagon jumper. Hell, I brought my family form Ukraine to Vancouver because of Canucks during Messier era But I am very happy with this season and I can see an incredible potential of our young core. We are not there yet to beat the defending champions, but we are going in a right direction faster then I thought. And it gives me hope.
  9. I personally won't go to the cup parade if my team wins it using dirty plays. I am not a fan of "winning at all costs" mantra. But this is just me, I see what are you saying.
  10. He is 6'1/215 , their biggest forward , a locomotive on skates. Not easy to check.
  11. Yes, 100%. This. It is like watching a sunrise here on the west coast- you see that light behind those mountains , but is it still semi-dark and the air is cool. But you know that everything will change in 2 hours
  12. I think fans need to be a little more patient with this team. We have a huge window of opportunity ahead of us, giving the age of the core. Just think about it- our best D-man is a rockie, our firts line center in his second year, our captain is 25 years old, and the team already scares the hell out of defending cup champion. Give this team a few year to mature.
  13. Something must be behind that, it is going for too long. He is too consistent with hating Canucks
  14. I am sure our team will give 120% again. They can win, they can lose, but if efforts are there - I am happy. True, it will be tough to beat a very good team plus corrupted zebras, but hope died the last.
  15. Nothing of this will ever happen in this world. But, there is a positive spin in all this- now I will be completely calm during the game since the outcome has been decided for us, and I will be able to fully concentrate on the Canucks play- without any emptional distractions.
  16. " Consider Sutherland's history with the Canucks, and then ask why the NHL would assign him to the series for a crucial, deciding game. This is the same referee who, this past March 3, gave Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault a two-minute bench minor in a game against the Calgary Flames, leading to a goal that cost Vancouver the game. The flashpoint for the penalty? As a livid Vigneault explained later: "That penalty that was given to me in the third period, all I did was stand on the bench and say, 'That's an elbow.' Not one g-damn word. Nothing. I didn't use the f-word. I stood on the bench for .5 seconds and I said, 'That's an elbow.' And that's how I got two minutes and that's how they scored the goal.” He added: "The same accountability that is demanded of players and coaches is demanded of referees and that's not acceptable. There's no way we should lose this game on a call like that." Sutherland is the same ref who ended up handing the Canucks five straight penalties in Game 4 during Vancouver's 2011 playoff meeting with San Jose, including two five-on-threes. He was one of two refs on the ice when Chicago Blackhawk Duncan Keith concussed Daniel Sedin—who was in the neutral zone without the puck—in a March 21, 2012 game against the Canucks. Sedin missed the rest of the regular season, and the first three games of the playoffs. Keith was assessed a two-minute minor. And let's not forget that Sutherland is the ref who, during the 2011 Stanley Cup finals against the Boston Bruins, &^@#ed up a Game 6 call that Stevie Wonder and Helen Keller would both have got right. You might remember Boston Bruin Brad Marchand using Daniel Sedin's head as a speedbag, later explaining that he repeatedly punched the Canuck star in the head because "I felt like it." Sutherland was right there in the middle. Sedin asked Sutherland why he wasn't calling a penalty. Sutherland responded with "I will," causing Sedin to respond with "When—after the fifth punch?" True to his word, Sutherland then gave Sedin a 10-minute misconduct for being punched repeatedly in the head.
