  1. Alberta already pays to ship it's oil.....nothing changes, if anything Alberta might save some money over time.... Kenny is just trying piss everyone off and playing off albertas hate for the east, if Alberta does leave Canada Kenny already pissed everyone off so acourse they would vote to leave Canada.... Alberta voices die cause it's like hearing about the problems for the rich, most normal people don't care lol alberta has been the gold standard for a lot of things but with Kenny slashing everything in sight, I really hope it's just a scar tactic to force JT to put the pipeline in and raise the Canadian oil prices, which would raise the Canadian dollar.......
  2. So I'm pretty sure your the middle one but which one is warhippie? Lol
  3. Your the last one that should be talking about Brain cells..... alberta has never stopped another province trade..... if anything Alberta has helped fund growth in a lot of industries.....
  4. Okay well they already go to school for next to nothing and they don't all take advantage of that..... fencing? It's easy just use steel and they could get cheap pipe from the oil industry and build pens out of that and they would give the younger folk a chance to get into welding and maybe turn it into a career, also the paster/crown land fence would be similar to how the parks fence with that steel mesh..... we all have seen what happens when The government just gives them money and it leaves their people in the same place as before. Also bison would be more seasonal and is simpler work and honest work, it's also something someone can learn that doesn't have a grade 12..... i agree 100% about giving them role models and I just thought learning the bison industry would be a throw back to their history and help the people that has learning disabilities and would help keep the younger folks out of gangs and getting into trouble..... its simple work anyone with a strong back can do, I own cattle and have a friend that raises bison and neither of us are what I would call college types ha don't get me wrong I did spend sometime in college but it was a waste of money in my books and isn't for everyone. Also if they get bison then they could also get a vet there and that means kids could have good role models with bison. Give a man a fish he eats for a day teach a man how to fish he can support and feed his family.....
  5. It is the job of elected governments to provide leadership and certainty on the pressing issues of the day. Judging by the smoldering situation with First Nations in Canada and the jittery mood of investors in the resource sector, our leaders need to do better. Much better. @kingofsurrey So why not make what some use to call a horse trade?... have the government pay to set up a bison breeding set up on their Rez..... Make the government pay to send the best people to help them set up and educate them in the handling and the the day to day stuff.... you create jobs for the young and old cause they know how to use ever bit and also it's their history.... you can also raise them to sell( which bison sells for more then cattle and that's not adding in the price for bison hides or skulls) they are also easier then cattle when it comes to calving.....also the chief could make sure no one atleast goes hungry on his Rez......also endless money making ideas could steam from this..... now land and that's why I say a horse trade so they give the government the land they want but instead of just give them money , they get good hay land and rights to use the crown land.....don't get me wrong as a rancher losing crown land would piss me off but it would help build that tribe up and hopefully others followed suit with elk ranches and so on.....
  6. I do enjoy river rafting and floating down the river on a tub but I like riding on crown land and I can down that way too. Ha edit* a horse can take me anywhere and a boat I'm kinda stuck floating or hiking and I'm sorry I'm to lazy and my knees wouldn't handle long hikes lol and most ranchers don't mind if you ride on their land if you ask.
  7. Gotta go green lol I'll take my horse trailer and sad part is a boat would have been cheaper lol
  8. You have to though look at who the Hawks have traded away over the years....
  9. Not really....cause the good workers will go where the money is..... also like anything the public sets the price.... This fantasy to were we are all equal and deserve to make what 16 bucks an hour....come on ha now that bread you bought for say 3 bucks now cost you six.
  10. Yes I agree and it doesn't help that schools don't touch on business like at all lol But having min wage actually helps the government more then anyone else. cause if you work for some cheap ahole then you'll probably find a better job..... min wages gives everyone a fighting chance , small and big business's but if you took it out, that would throw the whole Canadian market off a bit ha But would force companies to put their employees first and treat them right....in theory.....
  11. No I agree but it's suppose to be a base wage.... not a starting wage if you know what I mean. Companies that make more money pay their people more money....it's also tied to how tough the job is and dangerous it is too. Well you ever hear your grandparents say well in my day I could buy this or that for a dime ? lowering min wage , lowers the cost of living..... it also makes our money worth more and go further in every day life but it would push people out of the dead end jobs or force them to deal with their choice.....
  12. That's the thing.....you can't really calculate cause it depends on the person, I was raised you work harder you'll make more.... so yea not to be rude but if someone is working at a fast food place well there only going to make maybe 1200 a month( that's a ruff guess) well you can't survive on that but those type of jobs are meant for high school students or for people down on their luck trying to get a better life but I know some people that make it a career manager and so forth but some people are just to lazy to find better work......or some couples have one spouse making extra money that way but dead end jobs arnt meant to support a family....imho I'm sorry if I come across as an ahole and looking down on that type of work but I'm not, I just don't see how a family of four can survive when both parents make mim wage. So my think is, find a better we job.....I grew up in Manitoba but my dad worked pipeline so I know it's painful to work away from your family but sometimes sacrafices have to be made......
  13. Raising minimal wage up is just like turning the heat up on the frog so he doesn't know his cooking..... raising it , only makes the cost of living go up for everyone and their dollar goes the same distance as before..... if you can't afford to live in Van or Calgary move to s.k or Manitoba , it's cheaper..... like you said basic ha
  14. Imho if it was my team, i would trade brock(value is high and I rather have TT and Jake virtanen instead of one Brock cause I don't think Brock is worth his next contract which starts around 8 million iirc) Jim needs an Josh Manson or Shea Weber to play with Hughes and that would give us a number one pairing like the Hawks had with Keith and seabrook ......tanev is almost perfect for Hughes but tanev takes hits he doesn't makes them ha now I know we have petey bo and Guad as centres but I would pull a Pittsburgh and go after Ryan getzlaf if the ducks are willing to retain cause he checks a lot of boxes and his a leader like Miller and getzlaf would give us two play making centres , which you need to win a cup, look at the pens, they won with Jordan staal and didn't win with sutter and then Bonino went to the pens and they won back to back cups......also getzlaf if he does lose a step , then he wouldn't be a 1B but fit his new role perfectly as 3rd line center or fourth line center ....he has shown his hands are still there this pasted season and he would be a great shut down center. I would like to see this roster next season Miller petey Jake pearson Bo TT hoglander/rooster getzlaf Guad motto beagle zac reeves is the guy I would talk to the team first about bringing him in cause it seems like a tight group. D well we need a new D coach....... hughes Manson edler Myers benn or OJ or Rafferty or tree or rathbone....the list goes on.... goalies well if it was me I would sign a older goalie like the Hawks did.....so Miller is still out there and other older former starting goalies , cause I think next season the games should be split between demko and vet. I love marky but he deserves to be paid and it would just throw off the cap imho. Edit* if Jim does this he fixes toughness and I would happily bet a few grand for the Canucks to win the cup next season, they will probably be like the Hawks wildcard or third ......but they will be built deep , mean and for the playoffs.....so cup final next year ha
  15. That's more on willie and the Sedins then green imho
  16. I agree green isn't the right coach but that's just my two cents but he shows he has the tools to be one but his still green and he has greenhorns around him..... But he D system does him no favours and I don't see green coming back after this season or his on a short leash with a new staff.... i agree we need to bring some more attitude , look at the Hawks and kings , star players are aholes and their coaches were too , nice guys finish last for a reason.....
  17. Yup lol but it's true he coaches a 200ft game and smart hockey and torts coaches 200ft and finish your checks every time and that's what green is missing.
  18. Point is I wanted to see the boys come out pissed off but nope...
  19. Torts is a good coach hate him or like him , green coaches a similar system just with less bite and horrible d system
  20. Okay leafs lose to an beer league goalie and the next game they beat the lighting and we lose to the sens and then we lose to the leafs so........
  21. Wasn't torts his hire? I would love torts coaching this bunch ha so I would say I trust his judge of coaching over Jim's ha
  22. I've stated this before but bringing in veteran coach as a new D coach would do Green wonders and means Green can finally stop learning on the job.... I thought Green had the room but after the last two loses I'm not sure.....
  23. Also might add there's reports Miller is also a leader/role model for guys like Jake and Guad. I just want a leader like iggy was in Calgary and Miller and once petey has more time in the league , they both fit that bill. Horvat is to nice to be blunt......he also doesn't drag the guys into the battle like Miller has this season.
