  1. Draft Zegras( hope he fills out) or hope Cozens or Dach fall problem solved and if Dach or Cozens falls, Bo would look great beside Petey and Brock in the future.
  2. Rather bring in Burkie again. He knows how to trade and draft. Almost every team his built has went to the final other then the leafs. That's a pretty good record
  3. What about Spooner for Perry? Say what you want about the guy but his a player that will do anything to win like Kelser. At best he would play with Bo or worst he ends up on ir and we have to pay.
  4. That would work cause Nuge has played wing and could be the play maker bo needs. I think oilers would say no though.
  5. You right but Sutter would fill in that third line center role and that way nuge is freed up and it strengthens there center ice.
  6. Would you rather have Del Cole or Sam bennet?
  7. Hutton+ 2 round pick seems like an over payment for just Johnson . I think there's a deal to make cause Johnson is the odd man out with Barrie and Makar. I can't see many teams lining up to take him on with a 6 million dollar tag. The teams that need D have cap problems like the oilers and leafs.
  8. I also meant sakic has shown interest in Hutton before.
  9. They've shown in interest in Hutton in the past, they've offered Barrie in exchange for him previously. Colorado also wouldn't have to worry about protecting Johnson during the expansion. It would be mutually beneficial to both teams since Col need to strengthen the left side of their defence and Van is in need of a good defenseman on the right. We might be reaching bit trying to get the 16th pick but even a deal that included Johnson and a lower round pick could be worth it.
  10. Van: Ben Hutton + 2020 2nd round pick Col: Erik Johnson + 2019 16th overall The reason why I think this trade would work is because they already have enough young solid RHD in their lineup that they can spare Johnson to free up cap space. It would be a cash dump deal since Johnson is making $6M for the next three years iirc. Vancouver may need to add more to it to sweeten the deal but Johnson would be a big help to our currently struggling defense. It would also give us an opportunity to trade Tanev later on and give us more options in the draft.
  11. If they want tanev more then making a deal with col for Johnson would fill his hole/role on the team. I just don't know what they would want....Hutton + prospect or a second round pick next year maybe.
  12. I would rather trade Sutter and a 3rd for Lucic and 8th overall. Then trade Erickson after July 1st, after his bonus has been paid. I would try to make a deal for Colorado's 16th overall and Erik Johnson, I know he's older but he would be the perfect partner for Edler.
  13. The Eastern conference is completely different from the Western conference, you can't compare the two. We built a team like Tampa and we've only managed to make the finals once. The Lightening are built for the regular season, they don't have the nastiness necessary for the postseason. We have tried the speed and skill and it has gotten the Canucks nothing. We want the Stanley cup, not the President's trophy.
  14. Yes, he's a perimeter player like Sven or Nylander but there is POS qualities to him. He would be the perfect player to pair with Bo and Jake.
  15. He's not nasty if you're comparing him to Tom Wilson but he is similar to the rat. And size doesn't necessarily equal aggression.
  16. I really want the Canucks to pick either Zegras or Seider because when the playoffs come, nastiness (not size) is what wins a series. I wouldn't turn down Cozens if he were still on the board though. I want the Canucks to a build a team that pushes back instead of passively taking whatever the opposing team throws at them.
  17. The person you responded to listed Evander Kane who had Brian Little as his center man in his first year, iirc. He also had Byfuglien and Ladd as backup so he could be as aggressive as he wanted. Someone mentioned Simmonds and Brown, who both had better centerman that Sutter on their line. Unlike Virtanten, they were encouraged to play their game. He's a play driver capable of carrying a line and a lack of depth on the team is why he's on the third line. Green is trying to spread the talent available to him across four lines and he doesn't have much to work with.
