I agree. I would rather have 8 th overall instead of pool party....Jim's drafting has been on point. I could only imagine getting two high end players in one draft...it would also speed up the rebuild too. I would trade Loui else where....if Jim can find a taker...they need depth and that's one thing Jim has gathered in the bottom six and bottom pairing LD....

The difference between oilers and Canucks are the Canucks don't have Mcdavid and you can't tell me you don't see him asking for a trade? They don't have time to wait...Oilers are over a barrel....

It was tourney play just before he got cut...and just on t.v. He had one game where I didn really notice him until the third and then boom he sets up a goal....I'm always wanting more from him..

I can't find where I heard it sorry. I'm going off article and when I watched him play...to me at times he would be a game changed and others you would barely hear his name.

Wow ha. You must have hated the days when Gms and coaches put players on blast ha. Jim called a spade a spade and he make it clear that if players want to come to Vancouver nothing is given to them and they have to work/earn it. Loui and Dahlen are perfect together they both should go back to Sweden together.....Loui thinks he should be playing on the top line cause he scored 40 goals how many seasons ago. Dahlen saw his buddy playing in the Nhl and wanted to be just like him and he didn't want to put in the work to get there and figured he could skate on by his talent and the fact he played with petey before.....

I agree but BCHL kinda worries me. I wish Canada would do a program like the USA program. That way they could play against chl teams and not just play against weaker players in the BCHL.

I wish I could remember who said it....I think it was bob Mckenzie that said he left the coaches wanting more if iirc. They questioned his drive...

That's the type of hockey I love. Burkie was also hard on contracts and had no problem trading players if they wanted to much money. That's some where he could help Jim. I also think their building style are similar. Fast nasty hockey. Jim has said many times he wants a team thats harder to play against. Jim also int the best at trading or I should say he over pays most of the time but Burkie has a talents at trades ha good or bad not many gms have a set like Burkie getting the Sedins and then going to the Ducks and bringing in Pronger and then the leafs made two big moves. He would be perfect ha I can't think of a Gm with his type of track record and that's not evening touching his draft record ha if I was Seattle I would be banging down his door ha
