I'm sorry but Green has better options then loui....rooster and jake come to mind....you could put anyone with Bo and they would get points ha Bo proved that this pasted season.... ha Jim and Green don't listen to fans like me or any fan....if they did Loui would have been gone last season in my books..... ha his good at D that's all he can do now adays lol wasn't he brought in to score goals? Ha two head coachs saw what most fans see that he doesn't show up often and doesn't deserve top lines duties..... funny how you call Green weak and then use him to prop Loui up....better forwards at D ha rooster and granny to name two off the top of my head.....

I agree...from the games I watched and lil time Green gave virtanen with Bo...I thought they played good together. Hopefully Green plays them together for awhile....most nights due to lack of skill Green would shuffle him back to the third line.....

Ha loui has been a disappointment since day one.....his done what a lot of guys do sign big deals and disappear...he wanted to float by and in a Canadian market that doesn't happen....petey feels bad cause Loui couldn't find his game in the lost and found box..... deal with it like real men? The difference between oilers and Jim are that Jim is willing to trade for D....the oilers don't trade down or trade high end prospects for D other then hall ha Jim is willing to trade prospects or picks for D. Jim did the same thing Stevie Y did with OJ and people complain about that all the time. Colorado has had the perfect spot to draft high end D like Makar....they also got high picks in the right drafts.....where Canucks usually get stuck taking best bpa....if they could get some draft lottery luck things would be different.... once the Canucks get back into the playoffs and the kids show what they can do....I think ufas will come here.....

I agree but you take bpa.... i agree but I have faith in Hughes and OJ.....so guys like Hutton are just space holders until they come....I have faith in jim and his plan....I also think he will upgrade the right side and we could end up with a Defence like Ottawa when they went to the eastern finals where one side will crush forwards and the other will move the puck.....if Jim can add Colin Miller and say stralman....I'm happy their not flashy but they balance what we have.

Yes and 03 was a decent draft iirc. This draft was forward deep...you take what's given. Those D you listed are lefties iirc we have depth there..... nils fills a need and unlike Johnny hockey....the teams succes won't be tied to him....that's the difference.....flames counted on Johnny hockey and he didn't show up and nils will probably play with Bo and Jake if everything works out. Nils is a depth piece and we need left wingers and he fills a need. Im with you on the size but nils has the attitude you want in those big guys.

You right but Hughes is hopefully that one guy....and hopefully wins a Norris.....KB was a gem and the Canucks may not have had a number one guy but they've found acouple number 2 guys like elder and ohlund...having a number one guy is great but you need a number one pairing to win....like seabrook and Kieth and so on.....balance and Jim has two skill guys like Hughes and OJ and now he needs to find the balance for them.....there wasn't a D that fit that mold in the second round....korczack seems like a third pairing D....nils seems like a gem.

You mentioned the pasted so then you know the Canucks have never really had a top six....they have always pushed players into the top six that don't belong there.....look at Booth and Higgins....I'm sorry they would have been third liners on cup team like the Hawks.......Canucks always find good D some how.... When Jim took over our D had no future then Hutton and stetcher showed up.....that's history and Canucks have that on their side......Jim also knows you can find top four D in the middle of the first round of the draft.....Hughes being offensive gifted he needs a big stay at home D which you usually find in the middle of the first round.....I think if Jim is back next draft he will draft like the Preds and take D.....sorry for jumping in....just wanted add my two cents

Take virtanen and tuch out and I think it's a deal.... tuch is on a decent contract and young.....I don't see them parting with him.

I wouldn't add Nyguist instead I would spend the money on Anton stralman. Elder miller hughes stralman saunter stetcher adding Benn or any left hand D on a one year deal would be perfect cause then if Hughes and OJ show their ready we can move who ever at the TD im all for the Vegas trade and I think Lind will get better so it kinda hurts but worth it. Tanev trade works for me....hopefully move him and sutter. You lost me on the virtanen trade though....I like Hagg but we have Hughes OJ and tramkin and rathbone all lefties ( I know tram plays the right side) I'm on team keep Jake but if we do move him hopefully for a big right hand D.

After thinking about it a bit......ask your self this....jt Miller is the type a player petey and Brock need...... Now looking at what's out there would you rather have Kyle turris? Or krieder? Or another rental? Jt is under contract for a acouple more seasons so it's not like we cant gain assets later on.....I wish it was ristlo.....free agents like lee is going to cost a pretty penny and look at the pasted few power forwards or fiscal guys....Lucic,Neal,Ladd and the list goes on....they don't pan out often......so I trust benning and we still have a few pieces we could package for picks at the TD.

His also LD and we gotten a bit of depth there.... colin Miller is guy we should target.....good age and fits in our system
