NHL Head Office: 'The Aquilini Family' Vancouver Canucks: -Approval for Michael Buble to buy this team. -His investor friend -(Conditional) apology letter from the Aquilinis. {If Vancouver cannot recover, rebuild, and win a Stanley Cup in four years or less; the Aquilinis have to write a hand-written five page letter on how sorry they are to all Canucks fans, current & former staff, media, and any other individuals or organizations they've hurt in their reign of terror.}

When will EVERYONE learn and accept that we. need. new. ownership. There are certain things every GM and HC and players have done wrong. People make mistakes. But overall... NOTHING that has happened from 2012-2013 to 2022-2023 is directly Gillis' , Lindens, Bennings, Rutherfords, Allvins, Vigneaults, Tortorellas, Desjardins, Greens, Boudreaus, or Tocchets faults. Nor is it on the players. IT. IS. OWNERSHIP. Are we seriously still this blind and arguing about trades and hockey-operations members? Under AQUILINI we have had THREE Presidents, THREE GMS, SIX Head Coaches, and FOUR attempted ""re-tools"". All in ten years or less... Yes hockey is hockey and the NHL is a business. But NHL teams are also organizations that have the ability to change communities and even parts of the world. Linden spoke about this once before playing a video and he said "Wether there's a win or a loss or you're happy or you're sad; there's a whole other side to this that matters too." This type of positivity spreading can have impacts on the on-ice product too. And we are not getting that under Aquilini. They would not pay for foreign-workers to have an extra portable toilet during work at the Aquilinis farms. They tried to scam the workers out of owed wages ans vacation pay of $200,000... It's not just the meddling. It's the fact that they make people uncomfortable around them. They pressure for revenue and money and quick success. This makes ANY GM/Hockey-Operations staff make errors and rushed moves, it makes the pressure go down to the coaches, and then onto the players. And not a healthy kind of pressure. A toxic and confusing cesspool type. WAKE UP. SELL THE TEAM. And let's get owners that are GOOD PEOPLE that treat employees like human beings... and let smart hockey people re-build if they want to. A re-build being what we need. Stop buying tickets. Stop giving tickets to friends, family, colleagues, stop buying apparel, stop falling for their fallacies of all these good messages they try and tell you. AND BOYCOTT THIS OWNERSHIP.

Benning did not entirely mess this team up. For all the overly-aggressive UFA signings and mis-judgements in scouting he made. He also drafted and left us with Pettersson, Hughes, Podkolzin, Boeser, Demko, Hoglander, Klimovich, Woo, Jurmo, Brisebois, Lockwood, Rathbone, Truscott, Silovs, McDonough, Persson. (And no do not say this was mainly Judd Bracketts work or that Benning wanted Cody Glass over Elias Pettersson. GMs have the final say on draft picks after all the informatjon and opinions come forth. Not to mention Bennings background in hockey-operations started with scouting. Traded for J.T. Miller (Benning is not the one who signed him to an overly-long 7 year deal at $8,000,000 AAV). He basically got us a warrior competitor and 99 point power forward for a European runaway goaltender, a very low 1st, and a 3rd. Traded Juolevi for Juulsen and Lammikko. Lammikko was a very hard-working and serviceable 4th liner for us last season and Juulsen is one of the Assistant Captains in Abbotsford plus is a young RHD who still has some NHL potential and has filled in well for us when needed. Traded Dahlen who was an immature and one-dimensional kid that ran off to a 5 year deal in Sweden after giving the Sharks 2/3 of a lackluster performance season. Benning turned that into a bigger, younger, more-rounded, character right-handed center who's developing very well in Abbotsford right now in Linus Karlsson. Traded with Tampa Bay to get Spencer Martin for literally nothing as TBL wanted his contract spot and didn't realize they had a big, young goaltender with raw upside. He's been shaky this year but so has his coverage in front of him and for $762,500 a season he's been great depth in goal and backed up Demko very well last season when Halak couldnt cut it. Benning signed Luke Schenn for free and dirt cheap not to mention he originally got L.Schenn in his first Canucks stint by getting Anaheim to make him the contract throw-in along with a 7th Round Pick for Michael Del Zotto (who was also a free UFA). Also signed Burroughs who's been a hometown hero, gritty and serviceable 7th D-man that's chipped in with a handful of goals, always hits aggressively, and fights anyone. Dries, Dowling, Stevens, and Keeper were also all underrated UFA signings that have been instrumental in the support and development of our top prospects down there. (Stevens wears an A as well). Dries has helped up in Vancouver the most and fills his role well and throws all his weight at anyone, wins faceoffs quite well, hustles, and has 13 points in 43 games with us. So no. Benning did not mess this team up. What messed this team up and will continue to mess it up is our toxic fanbase continuing to financially empower a very morally-flawed man named Francesco Aquilini. Who treats people and his employees extremely unfairly and not only sticks his hands in hockey matters that he has zero clue about. But him and his goofy brothers entire presence makes everyone around them feel un-easy and improperly pressured. This leads to panic moves from management, management relaying Aquilinis pressure onto coaching staff, and then coaching staff onto the players. Sound crazy? You tell me what's gone on the last ten years. Head Coaches Alain Vigneault John Tortorella (& essentially Mike Sullivan for a bit) Willie Desjardins Travis Green Bruce Boudreau Rick Tocchet Presidents Mike Gillis Trevor Linden Jim Rutherford (not to mention the revolving door of other hockey-operations staff members coming and going). General Managers Mike Gillis Jim Benning Patrik Allvin Six to seven coaches (possibly seven to eight in under ten years at this rate), three presidents, three GMs, constant cap-space debt, one of the classiest individuals this organization has ever seen in Linden is stabbed in the back for speaking the truth and trying to rebuild the team. Next a finally offensive-minded coach and heartfelt gentleman who was an incredible person to our young players and team overall... is brought to tears from the teams handling of him. All during the Canucks promotions of "Mental Health Matters".. nice one Canucks.... Then the heart of the team the last five seasons and a Linden-class 2.0 plus great power forward and playoff performer in Bo Horvat is slapped in the face with a $5.125 Million AAV offer and then kicked out the door (the return was nice but re-signing Bo and keeping him where he was adored and needed would have been nicer). So all-in-all that just about sums it up... back to what I said about our toxic fanbase supporting Aquilini financially.. Our fanbase is not helping the situation. The amount of "fans" I see that don't know anything about hockey and have never skated in their life; complain and turn on a player at the drop of a hat is alarming. If they had any brains they would realize what burning your own city, jumping on players and goaltenders and being an overly-critical circus show really does. It can destroy any chance of not only big UFAs or trade targets coming here but could even chase hometown heroes like Bedard out of town. (Yes even that. Nothing would come as a surprise at this point.) Throwing jerseys on the ice not only does not send a message to ownership as long as you're buying tickets. But it looks horrible to any potential new player like I said. Having the opposing team tossing your teams jersey back over the glass is beyond embarassing (Brian Dumoulin did this in a game here). Also situations like the one with Pettersson a year ago when the kid is out there still recovering from a nasty wrist injury and people are calling for us to waive him if need be. Now they want him as Captain once he's healthy and flying out there? LOL. This city, this fanbase, this media coverage.. all need to give their heads a shake because that's part of the earth-scorching change this organization needs. Plus like I mentioned. The Aquilinis MUST sell the team. I can confirm they are terrible people. I have a family friend who oversees all the immigrant workers on the big farms that produce all the vegetables you see in big stores. This persons boss works with the Aquilinis and so this person I know has been around them. The Aquilinis do more than just meddle the management but they dictate what exact music plays at Rogers Arena and do not care to play what the fans want or what is trendy. They don't care how anyone feels, what anyone wants, what different opinions or people they can hear or connect with. They care only about money and winning. They tried to pull the rug out from under immigrant workers on their farm and were ordered to pay them owed wages of nearly $200,000 total. They made at least 20 immigrant working women cram into a tiny space and share two bathrooms between them and wouldnt even pay for an extra portable toilet. I am not making up or exaggerating any of this. These are the people overseeing our beloved Vancouver Canucks. So... before we lose another Linden, Horvat, Boudreau, etc and continue to not win Stanley Cups... Please in Heavens name could a new owner buy this team and one that has some morals and actual care for people.

Legend says he’s still waiting for the Canucks to make a move and clear cap space for him… when they do he’ll ask Anaheim to terminate his contract and then sign here

That makes zero sense. Pettersson loves Vancouver, he loves the fans, the community charity work here, he’s very close with Hughes and Boeser, and his new manager keeps surrounding him with fellow Swedes.

I think they’ve upgraded drastically from Campbell/Mrazek. Matt Murray dealt with his father passing away after Murray had won back-to-back cups. We saw what that type of ordeal can do to a players play (see Boeser). Murray was just overpaid and in a rut the last few years but has played very well at times even through it. They added a 6’4, 2x cup winning goaltender who can make great reactionary saves. And a 25 year old goaltender in Samsonov who was a 1st Round Pick for a reason and just had his best season yet and had a 912 save percentage in 5 playoff games played against the best offensive team in the league. (All while backing up a brutal defensive team in Washington last season).

Ilya Samsonov is their starter now most likely

San Jose has been trying to clear cap space and move one or two of E.Karlsson, B.Burns, M-E.Vlasic for over a year now. Why would they immediately add T.Myers $6 Million right after moving Burns cap hit (and retaining 33%)… Also Matt Benning was a UFA from Nashville and was just signed by San Jose. As for Josh Brook I like your idea of targeting a young RHD like him!

Ducks: D Tyler Myers Canucks: (BOS) 2024 2nd Round Pick The Ducks have some of the best cap space in the league and even after re-signing Urho Vaakanainen and Isac Lundestrom (RFAs); they will likely still not be at the cap floor. Trading for T.Myers would not just be a cap move but they are currently in need of one more defenceman to round out their roster. Specifically a veteran, tough, big, RHD to surround their young skill with. Tyler Myers is exactly what they need and checks all boxes for them. Even though the Canucks need to clear cap space, the Canucks still ask for a 2nd Round Pick because they’d be trading an impact D-man to a direct division rival. (This clears $6,000,000 in cap space and gives us $3,248,333 in cap space before calculating Ferlands LTIR space).

Underrated all-around D-man with the heart of a lion. Great guy too. Wish him well on the Maple Leafs!

It’s still not personal and is an emotional and difficult choice for him to leave Calgary. Columbus is only 8-9 hours in driving time from his house in Jersey Shore. With the Flyers bowing out of the sweepstakes, the Islanders not having the cap space, and any other “close to home” East Coast teams not having cap space or the right situation to sign him; Columbus was the best choice available. The Devils clearly couldn’t make the money work in time either as yes they have well over $22,000,000 in cap space. But they have to still re-sign Vanecek, Bratt, Zetterlund, Boqvist, Wood, and Ty.Thompson.

Two completely different types of players. Not to mention Copp has far better athleticism, durability, skating, and versatility.

There was reports a month ago being posted online (from sources close to the team) saying the Red Wings are wanting to move on from Hronek.

I don’t think you understand that Steve Yzerman of all GMs is publicly shopping Hronek. If they were worried about a step back why would a mastermind like Yzerman, move Hronek? Everything I noted about Lindstrom and you don’t think he’s ready for a top four role? That’s your opinion but it’s not reality. Overall as well.. Yzerman has said in press conferences that they will continue to slowly build through the draft and re-build the way they have been. Basically saying they’re willingly going to struggle and grow for a little while more. I don’t think they’re worried about being thrown in the “deep-end” for the time being. In 3-4 years they are going to be an absolute machine of a hockey team.

Yes. Gustav Lindstrom is only 23 and has a 6’2 frame that he keeps growing into more and more. He just had a breakout season of a career-high 63 games played and 13 points while only being a -12 on a BRUTALLY discombobulated re-building Red Wings team. He was a 2nd Round Pick just outside the 1st Round at 38th overall in 2017 and for the last few years; scouts have talked all about his composure as a young D-man plus how he can pass very accurately while still making decisions quickly. He has top four if not top two upside. As I mentioned above, Detroit is shopping Hronek so I don’t think they’re worried about a step-back and probably have a plan. The Hronek being shopped report was basically just confirmed by them just signing Steven Kampfer.

It’s been reported they want to move him.

Gustav Lindstrom is a young stud RHD plus Jordan Oesterle can play both sides easily. Plus they’re shopping Hronek right now.

Vancouver acquires: D Filip Hronek Detroit acquires: F Conor Garland I have a lot of reasoning behind this one but I’ve been thinking RHD acquisition options over for awhile and this one really caught my mind. Hronek is a trade candidate of the Red Wings right now and could really help the problem Rutherford talked about of our D being able to smoothly break out and get the puck out of our own zone. He has good feet and fluid skating, a bullet of a shot, vision, and is very very aggressive for his size. Takes **** from NO ONE. I want to hear some opinions about our RHD situation and about this idea. Cheers.
