Agreed. Linden knows because he has followed the team closely. I can't believe he thinks it can be fixed any time soon. Its partly the owners fault for leaving Gillis here so long. Linden is going to need a miracle to fix it. Torts might not be the guy for a team in rebuild mode. Linden will be working on better conditioning for these old players. I really think the team was crying for big changes as were fans after the 2011 loss. What a mess we have now. They will probably change their logo again.

Torts needs to stay to carry on his feud with Bob Hartley and Brian Burke.

They are slowing a bit every year and are just resting on the laurels of the past; that is the presidents trophys, and the cup final loss in 7 games. The big mistake was after the 2011 loss they never got tougher, actually they got weaker, now they are showing their age, and the rebuild is way over due. Torts was just the catalyst we needed to get the owners to rebuild, but are they going to? I wonder !

Yeah this constant over thinking of the line-ups has to stop. He is not good for young players or older players. He means well enough but, he stifles the team. He seems to like to tinker with combinations of players that are doing well, breaking them up and moving them to weaker lines to try and energize them. The players are very confused by this guy I think. Look at Kassian, the best player in the last few wks but ....................

Its sure hard to understand his lineups. It almost seems if a player is on fire he demotes them in an effort to get slumping players going. Way too much over thinking the game. Its almost like a minor league coaches do.

What ever happens Torts said it best. He said the fans have a right to voice their displeasure. "They pay big bucks" he said. Reminded me of Iron Mike speaking about the fans. Mike Keenan was the guy who got rid of Linden. Now there is a rumour Linden is the next president of Canucks.

Gillis is the owners boy. They picked Gillis as I understand it. In a recent interview Gillis said something like he and the owners work together on everything. So thats the way they run things. We can see the result. Torts is also the owners boy as I understand it. Torts is a good man, but although he has won a cup, he stifled this team that was already partially ruined by AV. So mike should go but won't unless the owners decide.

The Canucks should not play to lose or get a better draft pick. They destroy draft picks. Look at what they did to Cody Hodgson. Of course that was when AV was there but. They don't play their young guys thinking they need more seasoning. They need to play on the NHL team not go stagnent on the farm. So the team should forget about getting a draft choice to help them next year. What the team needs is new management.

I think the concussion he received from Duncan Keith changed Daniel. What a shame . The league for some reason is OK with pounding Canucks. Even if they are scoring leaders in the league as the Sedins have been. After the Boston final Canuck management did really nothing about it. They should have started the rebuild then.

Kassain and Sestito are the best thing about the Canucks lately. Both have skill and size. The rest suck, except for their banished coach.

Its all good. Gives the media and expert commentators something to discuss. The Canuck management has been pushed around since the Boston final, when was that, ? The way its been was probably embarrassing to Torts. The so called brawl was it all coming to a head. Finally a coach that isn't "careful". He is just passionate. Its called intensity.

He is sick of seeing his players injured by cheap shot artists and divers, and the refs ignoring it. Well its all on them isn't it. The league has been doin this for a while to Vancouver. They allow teams to injure our best players over and over. If a Canuck touches an opposing player, they penalize him. Its bush league stuff. So what happened with the Burke managed flames was predictable. Torts has seen the Johnny Canuck videos and wants the trend to improve. Still no comment from MG huh.

What rule is there about a little visit to the opposing coach? Its nothing compared to the bad reffing the Canucks are getting in their games. Seeing your players and goalies injured night after night and the first time a Canuck stands up for the team its 7 minutes and a game misconduct. Torts has seen enough, good on him.

It was a mistake to hire MG in the first place. All the no-trade contracts he has given have stuck us with the same old goofs on the ice. So some of the best players are the ones that will possibly get traded in this no-win situation. The players with no-trades are happy just coasting along. They made a mistake hiring an ex player agent.

There is something wrong with Canucks player development, and scouting. Where and why do other teams come up with tough skilled players? There is no time to wait for any of Canucks draft choices to turn into pro players. Gillis needs to do something now but he is satisfied that things are OK. He thinks he has done well in 7 yrs. The other thing is that we are allowing our goalies to get run over by the league. Torts is not happy about that but if you are a conspiracy fan you would think the league hates Vancouver. So why is it there are Canuck fans all over North America. Maybe they too see us as underdogs facing an impossible dream. Management is too quiet and doesn't seem concerned about the running of our goalies. Torts will one day soon come unglued. Can't blame him somebody has to care.

Even guys like Raffi Torres, and A Rome are better than some of the dudes playin on the Canucks now. Keep the Sedins and trade the rest, maybe keep Burrows if his foot is still skatable. Get back to moving Luongo and give Torts the "bite" he wants. They gotta get bigger and tougher and the Boston final proved that, didn't it?

I don't think Torts will get the job unless the owner insists on him. I think there would be friction between him and Gillis before long. It would be entertaining though. I still think Gillis has be let go. As long as he is there as well as others in management there will be problems that affect the team negatively. Of course the addition of Torts would probably speed up the process. All of this doesn't look too promising for Canuck fans. Ted Nolan would shake it up good plus he is a great coach.
