the difference is colorado have well above average defence prolly top of the league if not near the top. it's been proven multiple times you either win with a vezina caliber goaltender with slightly above average defence.. or you win with elite level defence and slightly above average goaltending.. Demko if on his game can be that vezina caliber goaltender.. only problem is we are no where near slightly above average defence.. we are at the well below average defence and it's not even close.

Yea I agree with you Martin have been better than Demko I don’t deny or argue that. But they both are below average and not really the reason why we won games. Martins stats with his 4 wins in November sv% wise is still worse than Demko and his gaa were also worse than Demko prior to Colorado game despite having 3 wins. Demko needs to get better totally agree. But to say Martin is the only reason why we are winning is laughable when your team have to consistently score 4+ goals to win a game you are winning in spite of your goalie.

That’s because millers trade is limited with a 7 year extension attached. Contending teams can’t take him as a rental as they prolly have to dismantle their team just to fit him next season. Miller trade is very very limited.. as it have to be a contender that would make that type of move and also a team with cap space next season. Carolina and prolly Boston comes to mind. But really don’t see those 2 teams making a move for miller.

One thing consistent with teams with bad goaltending trash defence

Like I said Martin was good last night I never disputed that. But again overall he’s been below average this season and I never denied the fact Demko have been horrendous. But to say goaltending is the reason why Martin is winning and Demko is losing is laughable. When the team have to score 5+ goals in majority of them in order to win. Easy to say Martin wouldn’t have given up the soft goal. Just as easy as I can say maybe Martin wouldn’t made some of the saves Demko made either.

sure i agree demko have been bad this year.. but it's hard for martin to have a bad game that'll cost the canucks if he has to give up 5 goals 7 goals 9 goals in order for him to lose?.. martin have been good in a couple of games.. but he's been just as bad in the rest of them.. the only difference was martin spread it out over 3 periods and demko for whatever reason let them come in bunches in the 3rd period. outside of the 3rd period demko haven't been as horrible as the "fans" make it seem. in the 7 games spencer martin played the canucks scored a grand total of 33 goals. in the 13 games demko played they have scored a grand total of 37 goals.. so 4 more goals in 5 more games.. martin played well in a couple of those games for sure and demko really only had maybe 1 or 2 good games so far.. but let's be real.. the only reason we even have those wins is the offence pouring in goals at the other end combine with bad goaltending from the other team so we are able to outscore our problems.

lol of coz you can't pin the losses on him.. if he's losing when his team is scoring 3,5,8,6,2,5,4 goals every game.. if u are still losing.. then u shouldnt' be in the nhl when your team have to score 4+ goals for you to win.. it's definitely not the goalie that's winning you the game..

sry Martin stats in november is 3.42 .890 and demko is 3.67 .892 both goalie have not been good.. and before this game martin stats is even worse.. it doesn't matter who we stick in net.. Martin will get his share of L soon enough as he's not going to get his 4.5 goals per game offence every game he played. both goalies have been bad this season.. to say martin is the reason we winning and demko is the reason we losing.. what a joke. and yes martin played well this game

i think the bigger issue with this ticket is the points attached to it i think? i believe i have to pay couple hundred on top of the $368 for too much points or something? i think 1 distracted driver ticket automatically triggers it i prolly have to look it up

prolly gonna try what another poster posted talk to a supervisor or something to see if they'll rescind the ticket. disputing it already automatically cost me half the ticket due to prolly half a day of lost wage.

they try to schedule most of the same cops dispute all into the same day now too so even more reason for them to go. Lol years ago I got a ticket for moving 1m at a red traffic light. It was one of those the left turn signal turned green I thought it was the regular green light moved 1m and realized put on the brakes. Happens the guy behind me was a cop got pulled over for um running the red light technically I’m still technically 10cm behind the stop line. I had a dash cam that showed I moved and then I stopped before the cop flagged me. I brought the dash cam with me to court the cop waived the ticket lol. What was funny was the cop ran out of tickets or something and made me wait 20mins for another cop to show up for more tickets hahaha

Lol speaking of that I actually have a full body wrap on my car that I was gonna remove next month.. he asked whys my car insurance say the car is white but it’s grey I said it’s a wrap he marked on the ticket grey lol by the time I dispute the car will be white hahah so technically they got the Color wrong lol

That part I’m not so sure cops are paid to show up to court nowadays at least from what I know. All my friends that have ticket dispute said their cop showed up. Well I drive standard so it was in neutral with handbrakes on so I dunno if that constitute the same

we dont necessary need to blow it up.. but one of bo/miller gotta go.. one of boeser/garland gotta go that'll free up at least 13-14mil worth of cap space to fix issue and ride it out next year to rid pearson and myers.. that's another 10 mil of cap + whatever the cap goes up by. only issue is you have to convince EP to sign a long term.. i know you are obsess with Miller but i still think moving miller is easier to fix issue than it is moving Bo. reason being right now we have no capable 3rd line center move bo we have to plug a 2c and a 3c and couple rhd.. let's assume the canucks don't think Miller is a capable center.. moving bo leaves us a hole in 2c 3c and couple rhd.. bo maybe able to get u a rhd back .. that still leaves u holes in 2c 3c position.. moving miller for maybe a 3c or a rhd.. at least that will leave less holes we have to plug even if you dont get the desire package back.. worse case miller is moved for a 3c and a 1st.. at least you have cap space and asset ie draft picks to try and fix the rhd.. but honestly the management gambled believing Miller is a true 1c and they can play hardball with bo and lost on both. i don't think they envision miller is that bad defensively as a center or Bo to continue his red hot scoring from last year. i think keeping bo for something reasonable have long sailed.. and i can't imagine any way shape or form that we can fix all our issue by moving bo and boeser/garland and all of a sudden be competitive within the next 2-3 years arguable the last of millers prime before he becomes more of a liability hence i think we need a full blown rebuild.. of coz JR probably doesn't see it that way and i think we are going to continue the trend of spinning in mud going no where for the next 4-5 years. can you imagine? we continuing to be mediocre for the next couple years.. continue drafting in the 10-15 position and then losing EP for more draft picks.. i think that'll be the worse stretch of rebuild/retool of any team in the NHL outside of arizona.

lol there's literally no way bo would sign for a penny less than Miller with any team right now.. not with the way his season is going.. if Miller can get 8mil being 2 years older? horvat will get as much if not more if he keeps up his current season.. doesn't matter if horvat reaches 99 points or not.. in this league goals are worth more than assist. he's over a ppg he kills penalty he takes 1600+ faceoff a season and he's been on fire goal scoring wise since the 2nd half of last season and continued on this season. i really don't see bo doing the canucks a favor at this point and sign/trade to maximize the return.. especially how he's been treated by this current management with the lowball offers. i mean if you are going to be going to a team you are interested in staying for long term.. why wouldn't you just sign with them in the off season and cost them no asset if you are interested in winning a cup? why would you deplete all the asset of your new team you are trying to win a cup with instead of letting them keep it and use it on an actual cup run.

lol so tonight went to timmy's drive thru.. they asked me for my mobile order.. so i pulled out my phone to show them the mobile order.. next thing you know a cop parked facing the drive thru turns on it's siren and i have a ticket for using my cellphone lol.. so should i even bother disputing.. or do cop even have jurisdiction on private land? so what am i suppose to do in this situation.. go park my car and then walk back to the drive thru to show them my mobile order? lol..

it's a terrible situation for our goalies right now.. they are both struggling.. and the team for whatever reason doesn't simplify their plays with smart hockey and make it easier for our goalies to gain their confidence back. how do either goalie gain confidence and make some simple saves knowing the team will give up infinite odd man rush against and if he gives up a rebound his defence won't be there to clear it or clears it onto the opponent's stick lol. sux to be demko or martin right now

So playing Martin is the solution? His stats in November is even worse than Demko just fyi
