  1. the issue i have with miller on the PK is he's very passive. he doesn't pressure or chase after the puck and rather just stand there and hope to block shots. i've said it before with miller on the PK it's like we are down 5v3 the other team just play around him.. i like to see the PK be more aggressive and read anticipate plays like EP does.. but that's just wishful thinking
  2. Lol neither goalie is good this season.. only difference right now is Martin is getting the extra run support 14 goals scored for him in the last 2 game
  3. So JR basically is saying our defence is good enough it’s Bruce fault his coaching style is too loose? Lol way to deflect blame from the big picture that they did absolutely nothing to address the defence and continue trading away picks for 7/8th defenceman that doesn’t move the needle and probably wouldn’t make 26 other teams
  4. i really think he's only on the pk because of faceoff. 2nd highest +/- doesn't mean all that much considering he had 99 points. and i don't hate miller he's just too frustrating to watch because he has everything the passion the skill the emotion and everything.. it's just he picks and choose and doesn't bring it the entire game. when he's good he's dominant.. and when he's bad he stands out. horvat doesn't help them.. they need help with wingers.. horvat is not a winger.. nelson have 13 points in 12 games u think their center is a problem? replace nelson 13 points with horvat's 13 point it's going to make them better? they need top 6 winger help heck nelson is out producing barzal... Lou is not stupid their center is not their problem.. their leading scorers are their top 2 lines center.. it's their wingers that's the problem.. so trading dobson for horvat how the f does that help them? move nelson to a 3rd line? their wingers will automatically score once they trade for horvat?
  5. lol just like you are blowing off every bad JT does? i dont remember if it was you or the other guy that keeps shoving his selke vote in my face lmao.. JT alone probably didn't caused 9 goals on the pk alone but he's one of the biggest reason with his play defensively.. the i don't give a F style.. so where's this Miller will get better and better into his mid 30s? no one have issue with miller offensively no one have issues with his 8mil contract when he was signed.. it's more like the ooohh horvat is the worrse captain ever blah blah blah Miller plays with so much passion he needs to be captain yet game after game we see miller not giving a f on defence to the point where he's taken off as a center while ppl continue to bash bo
  6. yet we are slamming a player that's projected 68 goals and already predicting he won't try as hard as soon as he gets his fat new contract.. 2-3 goals against that's a good one try 9 just on the pk alone.
  7. lol anyone not blind can see miller was a direct reason for a lot of the goals scored against when he was on the ice so far this season.. so bad that he's no longer playing center..
  8. lol? who cares if he scores 48 goals or 82 points if he gives up 100+ goals? isn't he on pace to give up a lot more than he scored?
  9. oh you mean like the guy that you were banging your drums on all summer
  10. lol they are overvaluing our players and undervaluing others as usual. islanders have barzal at 9+ mil next year nelson at 6mil they really going to trade for horvat and pay him 7.5+? 23 24mil for 3 centers? they were prolly more interested in Miller because he can play wing.. and now no choice but to play wing.. they literally have 0 need for horvat with nelson producing pretty much the same as horvat except he's older.. and horvat ain't going to be playing wings.
  11. which is why i said if we are moving horvat then you need to look at moving miller and start the rebuild now and do it sooner so we get better draft position even if we don't win the lottery. the prospect/picks more than likely won't be ready for another 2-3 years and the picks 3-5 years since it's gonna be late ones.. and with the way canuck luck is with trades.. all the prospect will end up as duds.. when was the last time the canucks traded for a prospect/picks/project and it ended up working for them? and the pick likely in the 20+ range.. what 20+ picks ended up working out for the team long term? boeser who's getting run out of town lol? or demko who can't even let in 2 goal or less once this season. or hoglander who's riding the press box? move horvat should be and must be accompanied by move miller.. it's stupid and ridiculous to think this team have a chance to compete within the next 2-3 years without a solid 2c and 3c.. no you are not getting a 2c back in a horvat trade it's gonna be more like whatever the hell ranger offered for miller. Miller who was worth considerable more than horvat last year can't even get you a RHD.. now all of a sudden horvat will get u a young top 4 rhd a 1st and more lol. if we move Miller only the team at least still have a 1c and 2c to build around and use the 8mil cap space or maybe more if we move boeser too to go hunt RHD from cap strapped team.. moving horvat you have to pray Miller can play C and be effective.. he's never shown he is a good center in his entire career.. he doesn't do any of the center responsibility other than faceoff. so i rather not take the chance and just move both.. for me it's either move miller and maybe boeser and use the whatever capital u gain out of it + draft picks to hunt a top 4 rhd somewhere from cap strap teams.. or move both horvat and miller this year move ep next year and start the rebuild now. those that thinks we can easily go find a Horvat lite and replace him is being delusional and straight up under appreciate horvat or just hate him coz they are a miller homer. and wanted horvat gone all summer.
  12. if horvat is going to be traded 0 chance it's going to be a sign and trade. he's going to slowly take his time and discuss with his family before deciding where he's going to sign.
  13. let them play thru it? hoglander pretty sure played thru the entire last season and so far this season and have shown nothing. podz is only 10% into his 2nd season in the NHL ffs a few scratches here and there ain't gonna stall his development if he's going to develope. podz actually looked pretty awful the last couple games time in the press box for him to think and watch the game from above ain't going to screw him. podz have proven nothing this year other than a warm body on this team and needs to work on his game because he's done nothing to earn time in the top 6 and well we went from a 3 line team to a 2 line team thx to miller.
  14. lol it's not like he hasn't played hoglander and podkolzin with EP.. and they've done literally NOTHING and nothing at all.. so should he keep playing them with EP even though they arent doing anything and let's screwed EP while at it? same with Rathbone.. in his 4 games so far i've seen nothing spectacular or good with him.. all i see is knock off the puck easily and trying to do too much in the offensive zone. or you want to play the kids just to satisfy your thirst to tank? coz so far the "kids" have done literally nothing to deserve more playing time. and the benching doesn't seem to have done much to "motivate" them either. the kids need to learn nothing is free in the NHL and they need to work hard and produce if they want to stay in the big league.. the rest of the guys like dries studnicka and whomever who cares about them.
  15. that jack campbell's contract is just looking better and better everyday lol
  16. i'm hoping the player be the one that request a trade out instead of playing for a losing team lol
  17. Hence I suggest I rather move on from boeser miller Pearson. U won’t get much if anything for return but it frees up a lot of cap
  18. honestly i don't see why we can't afford bo and kuzmenko next season. as it stands right now we are projected to have around 12mil assuming cap only goes up by 1mil.. but there's a really good chance escrow is paid off this season and it goes up by 4-4.5mil.. assuming it does it gives us around 15mil to sign bo kuz.. hoglander will prolly still be making minimum or 1mil ish poolman prolly never plays again. so that might free up an extra 2.5 and try to move pearson at this tdl if possible if not use a sweetener to move him in the off season that'll give us more than enough to keep horvat and kuzmenko if they are willing. again doesn't fix the defence.. but that's up to the management to figure out how to either move miller or boeser. i rather keep horvat over Miller just because Horvat doesn't require 2 defensive player to cover up Miller's mistake and if put with 2 decent offensive player he can produce at a reasonable number maybe not as high as Miller but respectable.
  19. haha i know i always think high of horvat and said he needed an opportunity like miller and he could take off.. i mean their career trajectory is very similar.. but i dunno why ppl insist horvat can't have increased production if given the opportunity and have topped out.. his career stats age for age with miller is very similar up until miller got traded to vancouver and got his chance
  20. i say the improve scoring from horvat isn't only because of improved linemates.. but improved zone deployments also have a big factor into it. he's about 5-6% higher in offensive zone start compared to last year. he's almost at 49% offensive zone start this season
  21. nah only 10 of his 31 goals last season and just 2 of his 10 goals this season are primary assist from miller.. so i wouldn't say a lot.
  22. Woulda been done long ago if that was on the table before the season started instead of the here’s the RNH contract. If that was me I woulda taken that as an insult if that was the initial offer as rumoured. Paying miller 8 paying boeser 6.75 and then offer bo a pay cut? I already accepted the fact bo will be more than likely traded. However I wish the team trade him sooner than wait till the tdl. Again I want the best chance at bedard. Any move regarding Horvat is probably going to be exact same as last year with miller underwhelming regardless of what you guys think he’s worth on the trade market. A late first a young nhler and a prospect. Nothing that will help the team now or anytime soon. trade Horvat, trade miller if we can, look into trading ep next season as I don’t see him staying in van past his rfa years. Just start the rebuild now if they have no intention of re-signing Horvat. I honestly think the lowball offered shows the management isn’t really that into signing Horvat anyways. Sure u start low in ur negotiation, but going below what he makes now is a joke. They didn’t expect miller to be this bad and Horvat to be thrust into the 1c role and excel.
