    Bieksa is so full on Leaf homer tonight, complaining about the Leaf penalty call in the intermission and wearing his blue and white… WTH? Did Sportsnet talk to him prior to this game or something? I haven’t seen him so Leaf-happy before.

    This panel is such an embarrassment. Before, they used to even slightly pretend to be a bit impartial and pretend like there are two teams playing. Now it’s beyond a Leafs loves fest. Even Bieksa is full on Leaf loving. It’s sick. They don’t do this for any other Canadian team playing an American team in the playoffs. Why should they be allowed to be 100% all about the Leafs?

    The best version of Boeser is still not great. He has an incredible shot when he’s on his game. But a ‘best’ Boeser is still soft, not a player maker, contributes very little, and is a waste of a top six role. In the playoff grind, when power plays become fewer for the Canucks, he’s the kind of player that adds little. Hopefully another team wants to take a chance on him.

    So soft, a floater. Put him in the second round of these playoffs on any team, and he’d be invisible or squished to an end board. No thank you.

    Exactly. All three finalists are from eastern teams? Does the vast majority of NHL media ever watch the western teams?

    Leaf fans already getting so cocky on Sportsnet sites saying the door is wide open for them to take the cup with the Bruins out of the way.

    Real Canadians hate the Leafs. It’s what unites us as a country, coast to coast to coast. But these are dangerous times. It’s like in Ghostbusters, when that bylaw guy goes and forces the release of all the caught ghosts throughout New York. The Leafs making it to the second around will churn out more Leafs articles and headlines than any of us can handle. Clear your heads, Canadians. Try to think happy thoughts.

    I hated the trade. Any team but Toronto. By the way, does anyone know where I can find any news about the Leafs these days? That series is hardly being covered at all by Canadian sports media.

    Surely Keefe gets slapped with a huge fine for this? Coaches aren’t allowed to publicly criticize refs like that. He’s the one trying to do the manipulating for next game.

    Watching the playoffs right now is a big reminder to me why we need to trade Boeser if we can. He’s not a playoff guy. He doesn’t step it up when the intensity rises. He doesn’t have another gear, so to speak. He’s fragile, one-dimensional, and disappears at critical times.

    Bunting brought that on 100%. If you watch it again, Bunting skates up into Cernak’s space just as Cernak is turning out of the corner, when the play is dead. If someone comes into your space like that when you’re turning as well to avoid skating into the boards, they’re asking for a beat down.

    Wtf? nostrils falls on his own and fans expect a call? And then Bunting gives the Bolt no room so gets bumped and the Bolt get a penalty? For that??
